My daughter and I stumbled on this gem yesterday. I had the House Tamales and my daughter had the Chimichanga. They give you plenty of food. Had to get a go box and had enough for another meal. Service was great and friendly with a cozy atmosphere. Will definitely be my go to for Mexican Food. I'm going to have the Gorditos next time.

We highly recommend this place. Over the years we have eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants, and while the majority of them have served good meals, Catrina Mexican Grill has risen above almost all of them. The place is clean, the service is attentive without being intrusive, and the food tastes as if it is made with love. In particular, the horchata is incredible, as are the chicken flautas. Give this place a try; you'll love it!

The best taco salad I've ever tasted, large servings (enough to share or take home for later).We go during our lunch hour and we get our food fast enough to eat and get back to work on time. One of the cleanest restaurants I've ever been to. And the ladies that work there are awesome. If you like Mexican food you'll be happy when you give it a try.

Nice quaint little place. Very unassuming place with great food and exceptional service. I was passing through and saw this beautiful old house converted to a Mexican restaurant, I thought nice place, food is probably mediocre at best. Kept going. About a mile up the road I got gas and without thinking drove right back to this cute little restaurant. Glad I did the food was phenomenal, the service exceptional the atmosphere, the vibe of the place was so chill I almost took my shoes off thinking in was at home. If you’re anywhere near this place and you’re hungry, stop here, you will not be disappointed in the least. One more thing, to whomever it was that left a review saying that this place uses store bought Sala, you clearly don’t know what fresh vegetables or herbs taste like. You should stop giving out bad information and stick to your processed chicken nuggets.
For a local taco spot this should be at the very very top of everyone’s list. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the vibe inside was very nice.Kid-friendliness: We had zero issue bringing in our stroller and enjoying our meal. They even had kids movies playing on a tv inside.
Best Mexican food in South Knoxville!This place is super authentic, serves fresh, quality food, it's easily the best Mexican restaurant around.Service was superb, very warm and welcoming, and everyone was smiling the whole time (even the bus boy). They even turned on Moana for our girls when they saw us coming in.And don't skip the churros, they're the best I've ever had! Plus they gave us a couple extra for free! They definitely go above and beyond here and make you feel appreciated.We'll be running back here!

Went tonight for dinner, food was amazing. I got the steak enchiladas my husband got the birria tacos and we got chirocheese sauce and it was all so good. I am so full and took home some of my food too. The service was quick and friendly. It used to be a house that's been renovated to a restaurant and it's so cute.
