Celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. Got here around 4:20, closes at 5. Doors were locked and was told to walk around to the front to get in. We were about to order and the person behind the counter said that they closed early. May I suggest the strategic placement of a sign on the entry door advising of the early closing so people don’t waste their time.

Unfortunately our experience at Barrel House BBQ wasn’t memorable. I hope it was just a fluke and a combination of unfortunate timing. Started by having to wait it a long slow moving line. Then we waited so long for our food that another couple that was in front of us ate and had left the restaurant before our food arrived. My wife’s food was cold. Overall the food was ok. Seating was an issue. There were booths available but we were told they weren’t in use at the time. We got lucky and another group left a table. The only other option was outdoor seating but it was not covered and no fans. It was very hot and humid and no one sat outside for an understandable reason. Like I said I hope our experience wasn’t the norm. Give them a try and share your experience.

Had lunch here prior to a tour of the distillery. I had been looking forward to eating here for weeks because I love good bbq and the reviews were good. I ordered the ribs, baked beans, Mac n cheese, green beans and my Bf had the nachos. By far the worst ribs I’ve ever had! Whatever rub they put on the ribs had too much cumin or something. It was very off putting. The medium bbq sauce had a funny aftertaste and the baked beans had too much bbq sauce. I couldn’t taste the beans at all. The Mac n cheese was good and the green beans were ok. The nachos were basic. Overall, I was disappointed with this meal. I love the look and feel of the restaurant and the service was good.

Don't order door dash. This is the 3rd time my order has been either cancelled or handed to someone who walked in and asked for a doordash order. This restaurant clearly does not care. Ill take my business elsewhere.

I had seen other reviews but give the benefit of doubt. The week day menu or Tuesday Wednesday menu doesn't have most or nearly any of the things that a presented on the online menu. Wednesday had no desserts, no brisket, no baked beans and no ribs. We went to Barbecue Shelbyville on Maine St. They had everything and fried pies. Excellent Sweet Tea and Service

Really wish there was a way to give this place no stars. I was very disappointed, like being told Santa Claus was not real. Food was a Banquet microwave meal. Never ever ever ever again.
Went there today was not a good experience! Expensive, food was cold, music was too loud. Pulled pork, chicken and ribs were all cold! They didn't have refills on tea(we got the last 2 cups. ) The Texas toast was burnt black and the ribs matched. Spent $85 on 3 people and was a total waste of money!! And now we all feel sick! 3-16-25

THE MAC N CHEESE!!! The bbq, the sauces, the corn bread oh my goodness everything was sooooooo good! Absolutely delicious can't stress this enough.

It's a cute BBQ joint located on the Uncle Nearest Distillery grounds. I ordered the "Grilled Cheese On Crack," the brisket. It was delicious and they did not skimp on the meat. Also ordered sides coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad, mac and cheese. Although I wish the sides were a little bigger they were good.
For dessert I had the peach cobbler. It was really good and plentiful. I asked for more crust and they did not disappoint. I'm not a peach girly. I'm a crust girly but the peaches were really good.
You had your choice of endless sauces brought to the table. It was a really great and experience and how I ended the tour with some good ole BBQ.
