El Mexico has always been good to since I was young and still is!
Great food and great service. They have very quick service, we are usually in and out in about 45mins. I would give this place 11/10.

I ordered a grilled steak burrito and received...I don't know what it is. It was soaked in marinara sauce. This is meant to be a Mexican restaurant?

Overall, I loved this place. Food was good. Service was amazing. I walked in and out in about 30 minutes My waitress was attentive and checked on us multiple times throughout the service. Their salsa is my FAVORITE. I have been so many times, and they never leave me unsatisfied.

Was a bit bland. The filler meat seemed to have very little spices. But it is Tennessee small town so I can understand. Restaurant decorated nice, and the prices were decent.

We were lucky that this place was open! We were in Shelbyville for one day and were surprised that many places closed early. Service was good. The food did not disappoint- it hit the spot! The frijoles tasted as if my Mother had made them lol. I ordered the carne asada and when I saw all those grilled onions on top, my mouth was watering! Oysters also were perfect!
