Food was great! Food came out fast and service was excellent. Glad we found this place.

Decided to stop for a late breakfast and found the Diner to be very clean, which unfortunately is my first priority. Waitstaff were great and fairly attentive. Falls apart at that point honestly, as the food preparation was lacking. I had the chicken fried steak w/eggs, hashbrowns toast and grits.
Eggs undercooked as were the potatoes. Steak Patti was just wrong. Anyway I will definitely be back (as I know that we all have a bad day) and give the business a chance for the remaining 2 stars. We love our local businesses.

The Armourboy

The Club Sandwich, Patty Melt, Fries, and Salad Bar are all really good. Staff was friendly and did and good job and she has done a good job updating the inside of the building.

I was ignored at the counter by three employees who took other customers and walked away from me. I've never been here before that, I don't know what the problem was. Will not return

A relaxed, family atmosphere with a real "hometown" feel to it. The servers were friendly. The service was prompt. The Farmer's omelette was excellent. Definitely a place we will visit again!

I went for breakfast. It was a down-home type of meal. Ruth's breakfast was my order. If you make it your namesake, it should be your signature dish.

There were choices. Several choices. I started with asking for over-easy eggs. They came out perfectly. I chose the home fries over the hashbrowns. They were just what you would expect. (In a good way.) Biscuits and gravy were chosen over the grits and toast. I am a grits lover. However, I also love Biscuits. The biscuits are a yeast type. Not my favorite. Yet, putting personal preference aside, they were very well prepared for that style. Very light and airy. Finally, the chosen meat was chicken fried steak. Which was a fried meat lovers delight.

Coffee and water were my beverages. The coffee was not coffee house good, but it was decent enough for me to get a refill.

Service was excellent. Food service was quick enough, for sure. Long enough to know it was being prepared and short enough that I did not wonder if it was forgotten. There was more food than I should have eaten. (I did stop before making myself completely miserable)

Price was around $18 before tip. It was a rather large breakfast. I will be going back. Next time I will get a smaller meal.

My daughter and I got catfish dinners to go on Friday and the catfish was phenomenal. Moist on the inside and crisp on the outside. And most of all; it was not greasy. I got coleslaw and fried okra and my daughter and her boyfriend got white beans and greens and fried okra. The coleslaw was some of the best I have ever had. The beans were good and the greens were good but just too sweet for our taste. Fried okra was good. The hush puppies ok. On Sunday before I left Shelbyville, Tennessee we had lunch in. It was very crowded for 11:00. The salad bar was great. My daughter had that and I had country fried steak and homemade creamed potatoes and white gravy. Also coleslaw. My daughter's boyfriend had a double cheeseburger and home fries and onions.everything was delicious. This is a new place for a great meal to go and dine in.
