We loved the tour! But wish there was more history shared about Mr Green.

I highly recommend visiting and taking part in the tour and tasting. The tour was very informative, the staff was amazing and I can not rave enough about the beautiful grounds and buildings. Terrell Johnson was our tour guide and it was easy for me to feel the pride he has for being a part of the Uncle Nearest Family. I plan to revisit in the future whenever I am back in Tennessee.

I live on the west coast and I drink Uncle nearest whiskey now that I can get it out west and I've always wanted to take a tour or visit the distillery. I was on the way down to my buddy's house who lives in Chattanooga and we passed right by it almost so we popped in there just to get some drinks and buy some more whiskey. Uncle Nearest, no relation haha distillery is on a really nice property and has a first class facility and in the back they have the world's longest bar which you can go in and have a drink and apparently in this state you can also bring kids and take them to a bar but it's definitely worth a visit if you're anywhere close to Nashville or Chattanooga or anywhere in the area. I hope to come back one day and take the tour. They have a couple bottles of liquor that you can only buy at The distillery so I did pick up a bottle of single barrel or barrel aged whiskey and a bottle of the Tennessee whiskey that they have in the green bottle since I have not seen that at stores on the west coast and I bought a couple of small glasses. We went back to the world's longest bar in the back and sat for a while. Listening to some live music which was really great and had a drink and some chicken wings.

We love Nearest Green products! This Distillery is rich in history! We drove from Myrtle Beach SC to tour & sample this spirit that we learned about and have been enjoying for a couple years now! Definitely worth a visit. Don't pass this one up!

Today I did the tour of Uncle Nearest Distillery. I honestly don’t know where to begin. If you are a Whiskey or a history lover Uncle Nearest Distillery is the place to visit in Shelbyville,TN. This tour showed not only the black excellence but black girl magic in all. Our tour guide Karen was outstanding. Listening to her speak about the history behind this Whiskey I could hear the passion in her voice. Thank you so much for superior experience.

The management staff and the employees do not know what they are doing. Not sure if they’re getting trained or what but they pass the buck from one person to the next person. You have to call numerous times they won’t answer the phone when they do answer the phone. They don’t know who to connect you to. It’s just horrible customer service she needs to do better on who she is hiring step out of some of those important business meetings and get down to The real part of the business. I’m sure that these people are not getting paid very much higher people give them the money that they deserve and you will have better quality people And service.

I drove down from Nashville to tour the Nearest Green Distillery, and where do I begin? The whole experience was transformative. I've traveled a lot, and only a couple of times have I felt an immediate connection to a place and everyone else in it. Visiting Nearest Green was like that. Each staff person, from the cashiers, tour leaders, chefs, custodial staff, and gift shop workers, literally everyone will treat you as family. And what's cool about it is that it does not seem forced.

The experience there is not like the typical museum or amusement park, where the hospitality can seem forced. You can sense that the folks there love being there and are happy that you are there as well. The historical content is very well done. The grounds are spectacular, the storytelling is excellent, and there are enough special touches throughout the facility to fill a half-day of exploring.

If you're considering a trip to the distillery, BOOK IT! You will not be disappointed. TAKE FRIENDS and make the memories together. I'm getting excited for you as I'm just thinking about it.
