Four of us were excited about trying Ace's for the first time. We arrived a little after 5 and were greeted at the door by an employee and told that they couldn't accommodate us because they had a party of 16 soon to arrive. A couple ahead of us were told the same thing. That is not the way to treat people. There wasn't a sign on the door or an announcement posted on its Facebook page.
What a great place. Not a restaurant you would expect in downtown Smithville, TN. An amazing menu with steaks, seafood and Italian entrees. Reservations are needed.
Best dining experience in Smithville, period! Of course the steaks are a must, but also try the crab cakes and blackened salmon. Wonderful service and quaint downtown atmosphere!
Crab cake & fried green tomatoes appetizers were very good. Filet mignon was okay-not a lot of flavor. Waiter was very attentive. Very disappointed in appearance & atmosphere-shouldn’t be paying the menu prices because it is lacking in these areas.

Everything was over salted.
One of my frustrations after moving south from my hometown of New York City is the lack of fine dining. We don't care for big box franchise foods where the food is at best institutional. We were recently invited by friends to join them at ACE'S STEAK, SEAFOOD & ITALIAN restaurant. We went just for the company and truthfully weren't looking forward to the 1 hour drive (each way) to Smithville, but we were pleasantly surprised by the incredible food prepared at Ace's. It's a family run business and the food is absolutely top notch with a great service staff. Everything is cooked to order so don't expect to eat and run, but if you are looking for a relaxing 5 Star ⭐ dining experience, ACE'S will become your new favorite restaurant as it has become ours. Also, how many chefs will invite you to tour their kitchen? Ace's kitchen looked more like a pristine operating room than a kitchen. Glistening Stainless Steel everywhere. Impressive to say the least. We have been there twice and it was worth every mile and every minute of our trip to get there! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My husband is from New York and I'm from Atlanta via Los Angeles so we know a good restaurant. This place is is so far above anything in Nashville. The chefs in Nashville could learn a lot from this chef. Not only is the food superb but he actually wants to to feed you because he serves very generous portions. After eating there the first time we drove an hour to go back a second time and it was even better than the first. I promise you won't be disappointed. My husband told the chef it was the best steak he'd ever had. If I could give it extra stars I would!
Great food , reasonably priced, the staff and servers are great, friendly and courteous to your needs. We really enjoy going here.
Wonderful place! The restaurant is clean and nicely laid out. The quality of food is top-notch. Don't expect a quick in and out. I don't think they pre-cooked
anything. The food was so fresh, from the bread, to salad, soup, and entree.
Highly recommend. This review was after my 3rd vist.
The ribeye was amazing. Everything we had was really really good!

First time eating here! Very good! Will definitely be back! Food was exquisite, and service was on top of it! 5stars for sure!
I took my wife here for her birthday recently. Our first time. As much as we enjoy the experience we wished we gone alot sooner.
The atmosphere was charming, with two areas for small group seating or a quiet date night together.
Our server Owen was the best we've had in a long time. Very knowledgeable, attentive, always checking back to make sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable dinner.
Now speaking of food. Several original dishes, especially the mushroom appetizer, to die for.
My wife had the special. A manicotti dish stuffed with lots of ricotta and homemade pasta.
I had the chicken parm with sides of salad and spaghetti.
In closing I must say everything is delicious made to order and very fresh.
Do yourself a favor and check out Ace's excellent chef skills.
We have eaten there a couple of times, the food and service are always great. If you are looking for a really nice place to eat then you should try it, everything is made fresh, oh and the crab cakes are to die for, so, so good. You can make reservations if you want to, they are only open for 3 hours 5-8 p.m. and not every night.
Spectacular dinner tonight at Ace's Steak,Seafood & Italian Restaurant in Smithville. It is always worth the short drive from wherever you are!
There was a limited menu this evening for Valentine’s weekend, but still more than enough options that made choosing hard to decide. The giant half lobster tail and petite filet were fantastic. Crab cakes were all killer and no filler with a mustard sauce that’s out of this world. Not pictured is the best chicken and rice soup in middle Tennessee. It is even better than that famous chicken and rice soup from that one place everyone brags about (iykyk). Sticky toffee pudding cake and a crème brûlée cheesecake both had to be ordered, because we are terrible at making decisions. Both were excellent.
This truly is a fantastic restaurant. Not only is the food great, but I can assure you that this is among the cleanest kitchens you will ever find. The back of the house is immaculate.
My wife and I are already planning our next visit.
I will never walk foot in this restaurant again. The staff are EXTREMELY RUDE as well as the manager. Wont be returning. If you wanna spend money on a good experience GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
