This was our second time here. I wanted to love it because of the name and the “Best breakfast in Smithville” signs everywhere but it wasn’t great. I got the Philly cheese steak omelette with a side of hash browns. I asked for the hash browns extra crispy but the were far from that. They were actually not very crispy at all. Nothing was seasoned. It was a good thing there was salt and pepper at the table because the food needed it. The biscuit was nice and fluffy but the gravy tasted like it was packaged. The omelette was fine but not great. Not what I expected from “The best in Smithville”. It was just ok. If you’re in the area I recommend Patty’s instead. They aren’t spectacular but at least better than Son Rise.

I wanted somewhere to eat at a local mom and pop place. Hands down for such great tasting food, great service and fast service. The atmosphere is nice and inviting as well 😄. I give 5 stars and you should check them out

Just ordered for pick up. Upon arriving I was giving a check that was double the amount of the menu price that I had ordered from. When I got there I was told that those are old menus and not good anymore though they are still on the web as well as on they are Facebook page that was updated yesterday. I do not suggest anyone go to this diner ever. If they will practice shady practices like this then their trust is gone. I was literally told that quote hey prices are going up everywhere". False advertising. Every online menu I see has the prices at the same. And of course we are going to push this issue and I will never eat in this diner again ! We will be protesting this diner all over the web TN
