Food was cold. Service was slow. And the place was nearly empty. Owner is a fraud and a liar. Promised to make it right, but did not. No refund. No apology. Just cold food and a terrible experience overall. Will never go back.

Incredible food. Blown away by how much I loved it. Wish badly that the option to dine in was still available. I am just the type of person who will just cook at home if I can’t go to restaurant.

Their in house burger arrived to our table cold. Fries were not that hot but hot enough to eat. The waitress took it back to kitchen and microwaved it which meant I now had a cold burger with wilted lettuce and brown avacado. The waitress blamed it on the cold ranch dressing that was on it. Wasn’t even able to fish half the sandwich. They are able to make a good burger, my partners burger was fine. No interest in pleasing the customer. Update. Yes the owner did not charge me for the meal but that still does not do anything about the bad food and rude waitress with nothing but excuses.

Fantastic whole food, vegan fair. The owner and staff were friendly, informational, and hilarious! My husband isn't plant-based, but he really enjoyed the burger and potatoes. The quesadilla meal was phenomenal! Will definitely be going again!

Very nice staff, incredible food. Lasagna was a slight tad off but not bad at all in any way. The soup you had today was one of the best soups I've ever had in my life. The salad bar was a little small but made up for it with big flavor and nice green veggies. Will be back.

Plant-based, vegetarian meals are fine, as long as it's edible. We've tried this one twice, and the food was served with no flavor -

Great vegan/plant based restaurant! Amazing owner, great staff and cozy atmosphere. Worth the 1 1/2 hour drive.

So recently I was diagnosed with tons of food allergies. Soy, gluten, dairy, wheat and the list goes on. So you could imagine eating out was impossible! However, White Possum has made it easy for me to be able to enjoy a cooked meal and spend time with my family outside of home! The food is delicious and the portions are great! If you haven’t really experienced plant based foods you might not like it at first because your pallet isn’t use to the taste or texture but give it another try! Also let your server know if you didn’t like something they are willing to fix it for you! I have tried tons of plant base foods and I have to say White Possum you have done an outstanding job! Thank you for thinking of the community and the people who have allergies and can’t always enjoy a meal outside of home! Steve and I love the new menu and will continue to give our support! Also if you don’t like the food try a smoothie and still give support to the people trying to make a difference in this small town!

We visited this restaurant yesterday and loved it. We have been living the Whole Food Plant Based lifestyle since Feb 2020. We finally found a restaurant where we can eat health promoting foods that taste good and make you feel good. I encourage everyone to try it and research the many health benefits of eating WFPB. It’s good for your health and good for the planet. I think every hospital should have a White Possom restaurant because the very foods that create diseases are then served back to people in the hospital. Don’t get me started on fast foods. Go try it with an open mind and if you think it’s not sweet or salty enough your tastebuds will adjust and you will be healthier for it. I can’t thank the owner enough for opening up this WFPB restaurant. Well done Smithville TN.!

The food was awesome. My daughter was recently diagnosed as celiac and has missed eating out. 10 outta 10. We will be back..

Nice vegan spot in Smithville, TN. Santana was awesome! She was super sweet and very informative about the restaurant and the food. Oh, and the food was pretty tasty. I had the Mr. Tim with hibachi rice and a salad from the salad bar.

Had always heard about how great this place was, so on our way back from a doctor's appointment in Nashville we decided to stop. The restaurant and went to a full vegan menu which is different the food wasn't impressive my sister and brother in law decided to get the soup and salad bar as the side for the meals they ordered they got different soups but the looked and tasted the same salty sludge. I got the triple bean burger that had nothing holding the burger together luckily I quartered it before eating it. But the unimpressive food wasn't the worst part the table was covered with medical journal pages talking about gut health, stool colors and consistency, etc. Disgusting, just absolutely disgusting.

Was very excited to try this place since I am a vegetarian. I went inside to place a to-go order. They refused to make one meal an hour and half before they closed. People were still inside eating and being waited on. The staff was very rude as well

Look, I'm not one for vegan food at all, and I would much rather have meat to veggies, but even I have to admit, the food was very good. My rather traditional and somewhat picky family (parents and grandparents) all found something appetizing. I had the jackfruit BBQ sandwich, which was actually pretty tasty and filling. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, appealing ambiance, creative menu, ethically sourced products. They also ask if you have any food allergies, which was extremely thoughtful. If you are a natural carnivore that wants to make some dietary changes, this place is a great start, and you won't have to suffer from unappetizing store vegetarian food. I'm by no means a convert to an all plant diet, but I think more of this type of food could be in my diet.I only have two minor foibles with the place: The waitresses don't have name tags (although that's more of a personal pet peeve) and the old menus had the story of how The White Possum got its name (Although upon request, the waitress regaled us with the story).
