Bonchon Smyrna - W Sam Ridley Pkwy

I done came to this place like three times and they never disappoint. The chicken is always worth the price, it’s juice and crispy not dry what’s so ever. Now I was iffy about spending a pretty penny for it and the girl at the register said you can just get the $11 combo with three drums, fries, and a donut. Best deal ever hands down!!! And they Bulogi fries taste good even the next day reheated, the fries not dry or anything.

Although this is a super casual restaurant, the food was on point. We tried a sampler and the MoPo because we wanted to try several different items. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and great flavor of each item. We went pretty close to closing time and we all know that can mean rushed or worse yet...old food. They took their time and made everything fresh. The chicken is surprisingly non-greasy and just as crunchy as advertised.
We will definitely be adding Bonchon to our regular stops. They have great variety so everyone can have their favorite.

Bonchon, I have loved you! I has taken it to office luncheons, to house gathering and I have taken friends there. All have loved it. It has always been on point until this past Monday. Food and the customer service was a negative. I had a friend in town visiting, so I wanted them to experience Bonchon.
We both ordered the 6 count bone in wing. Have you ever gotten something and you feel like something is not right but you can put your finger on it. I told my friend they're usually better than this. I kept eating and looking at them trying to finger out what's off. As I got to the end I figured it out. They tasted and look like they do when I re- warmed them. My past purchases have always been fresh. I apologize to my friend and said I would tell Bonchon, because I loved this place and don't want them to close because of them leavingfood in a warmer. Because based on this taste people won't find it special.
My plan wasn't to ask for anything just to inform. The young lady came over and I shared what I experienced. She said they were keep in some type of warmer. I said that explains the taste difference. She asked what did I want. I said oh that's great customer service. I told her I wanted my friend to try the donut but I didn't want it if it's been sitting. She left and about 12 to 15 minutes Rachel came over saying you ate the food so we can't do anything. I wasn't looking for anything in the beginning but now it all about customer service. I asked for a manager and she said she come in at 4:30. Then she don't know when she will be in. I asked who made the decision, she said the cook Leo. What's the manager name and number. She gave me a name and phone number. I called the number, no voice mail greeting or returned call. A business number should have a vm greeting.
I feel they lied to me and displaced poor customer service.
If you know and admitted you served me re warmed food, good customer service would make it right regardless when I told you and to give me the run around and a fake number is unacceptable. I don't believe I will ever return nor recommend it to anyone.
Oh she said I should have asked for fresh when I ordered. I have never gotten re warmed food from you in the past so how would I know. It threw me off because it still had the crispy skin, so it took a minute to figure it out. Then Bonchon will wonder why business fails.

I did a grubhub order and it was great. Never had it before and thought I might try it. It was worth it. I'll be visiting in person next time so I can experience it freshly cooked. Sometimes grubhub takes a while so it's not as hot but even so it had a great flavor and still had a crunch. It was very yummy.

The staff was great and helpful but this was not anything near what I expected. I got the 4 wings and 2 drumsticks, granted it was $15+ dollars for that alone. The meat was unseasoned and bland, however the crisp was nice. The flavor comes from the sauce really if anything, and the sauce was pretty sweet enough. When I got my food, it was just like that, sauce on the side and chicken by itself. Spent a good chunk a change for the amount of food I got, but was not pleased. Amazing staff but the food is not something I would go out of my way for again. Thankyou for the experience though!

Any complaints about this place are unfounded. I love Bonchon and just recently discovered it last year. It is now in out top three places to eat for when we go out as a family. The food is always amazing and they are consistent. Every single time it's the same which you do not see very often. Great job kitchen staff! The front of house team are also great, they are always happy, polite, and willing to answer questions and better explain menu items that you might be uncertain of. Thank y'all for always being amazing, my family and I really appreciate it!

This place is Aesthetically pleasing. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Very nice and professional. The food was fresh. Served hot and good portions. However, the flavor was lacking. I was excited to try this place. I wanted to love it. I had the correct sauces and amount of coverage. It tasted bland. I felt like something was missing. The sauces were pleasant, the flavors did not show up to work.

I've been looking for a good local Korean place. I'm still looking. The food was ok but didn't taste anything like the bulgogi I used to get in Korea.
