We went after church and left because it was so crowded and a 45 minute wait. We returned around 4:30pm & had wonderful chicken pot pie. We also shopped in the store, which I LOVE everytime I visit!!

Let me start off by saying, I love Cracker Barrel. I had a long day of traveling and just wanted some comfort food-Chicken & Dumplings. I ordered on the app and it said 20-30 minutes. I got a text and said check in when you arrive and we will bring it right out. I arrived early as my hotel was close to this location. I waited about 10 minutes after my order time was scheduled for and nobody came out. I went inside and told them I was curbside pick up. A young man (who was very polite) came from the back and said "They are still working on your order." I asked if he knew how much longer it would be. He responded. I don't know. I asked him if he could please check. He went to the back and returned to tell me "We are out of chicken and dumplings" I responded with "Did you guys not think it was important to let me know? I've been waiting 20 minutes. What are my options?" He asked someone through his headset, then responded with "Country fried steak or Chicken" I told him Country fried chicken was fine. He went to the back and within 45 seconds was back with my order. That should have alerted me to check the order, but I was exhausted from traveling. He told me he put in a piece of chocolate cake and apologized for running out & to have a good night." I went to my hotel and unboxed my food only to find the country fried steak was cold and greasy. The Mashed potatoes had large uncooked potatoes in them. I called the manager to express my frustrations on tonight's experience and he did offer a refund. I'm not unreasonable to know that a restaurant can run out of things- I just wish 1. communication would have been better from this establishment. They had my curbside parking number and my phone number to call and let me know. 2. They would have taken pride in cooking me a fresh piece of Country fried steak, especially since that wasn't my original order. Food 1 🌟 service was 3 🌟 due to lack of communication. However like I said the curbside guy was nice, threw in a piece of cake and the manager did apologize and offered a refund. Atmosphere is always great, so 5 🌟. Please just communicate with your guests.

Incredibly rude cashier staff and manager. While I was waiting to be helped, I noticed the girl working the register and thought to myself, she clearly hates her job. Lucky me, she ended up being my cashier and there was an issue with my ticket. The manager came to help her and apparently the problem with their system was somehow my fault and I was treated like crap and they couldn’t get my coupon to work so I finally just paid my bill in full as it wasn’t worth being subjected to any further terrible customer service! Will not go back! I would rather just eat at home than to pay someone to treat me badly.

I used to love cracker barrel, and the food is still good, but it takes SO long to be served, it's almost not worth it anymore. Once we got seated, it was 15 min before anyone even greeted us or brought us water. By then we already knew what we wanted to eat and figured we should go ahead and order since it took that long just to be greeted. The young man waiting on us wasn't unfriendly, but not friendly necessarily either. Almost like he just didn't want to be there. When he finally brought our food, we had no silverware and of course asked him to bring some. Our food was already out, he should have pivoted immediately and got our silverware. Instead, he stopped at the table beside us, asked if they were ready for their check, disappeared into the kitchen, came back out and stopped at the register. Finally, I got up and went to him to get it and he acted annoyed that I didn't wait for him. It was just a poor experience this time and not what it used to be. It's way too loud and takes way too long.

I had a wonderful experience at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in Smyrna, Tennessee! While shopping in the store, I was fortunate to be assisted by Sage, who was working the counter. Sage was incredibly helpful and attentive, pointing out several great options that were on sale, which I truly appreciated. Sage also signed me up for the rewards program which I have never even been told about at previous visits to other locations.

Her friendly demeanor and knowledge of the products made my shopping experience enjoyable and efficient. I was able to find exactly what I needed, thanks to her guidance. The store itself is charming, with a wide variety of items that capture the essence of country living.

Overall, I left Cracker Barrel feeling satisfied not only with my purchases but also with the excellent service provided by Sage. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for both the shopping experience and the warm hospitality!

When you order on line it tells you a time it will be ready and then when you get there they tell you it isn't even ready . Then you have to wait longer. The worst customer service ever. Oh and the also tell you the have no control over their internet orders

Everything new thats been going on sucks, its not appealing to the older folks that come here and they want the old fashioned looks, modernity is depressing and it looks way more depressing this way. hope they dont do this to other ones. everyone we ask agrees that the old is better. hate the looks. also shrinking the food is petty, wont be coming back again. i loved this place before all this.

It was a bit of a wait to get in and for the food due to staffing; however, the service and food were good. I would recommend eating at this location.

We were there for almost two hours just me and my bf. We were told also why we didn’t get biscuits until second hour was bc they ran out and had to make more. Apparently everyone else had baskets but not us and we were like wow dude thanks and oh I told you I can’t have gluten anyways. Many customers came and went and we were still waiting. the manager just walked around smiling at people while we sat with empty coffee cups. We really only started to notice after the first hour bc then we had time to notice the manager and how long it took for everything from our server. Spent 80 bucks there and I couldn’t even eat my food bc I was pretty turned off by the time anything like coffee or food came.

They redid the lobby to be more efficient and it seems to work. Went for breakfast around 7:30. Service was great, my eggs were perfect and my Wife's pancakes were spot on. Very good experience 👌
