I hope the owners are ok. So sorry the business is closed. Good luck on your next venture.

You should at least post on social media that you will be CLOSED FOR A PRIVATE EVENT….it’s FRIDAY!!! We went to go in and “CLOSED FOR PRIVATE EVENT” was on the door. SEVERAL other people saw the sign and commented as they left also.

Really disappointed in the owner mostly. Our family had booked a party there. After not returning telephone calls, we found out that he doesn't expect to be open due to closing the restaurant down... No notice to a party of 60!! Bad business... No wonder it's failing

I want to start by saying the building is beautiful. The food (we had to get to go) was good. We will never be back because the outside bartender was rude. We asked for a drink menu, and he said we closed the upstairs bar, and I won't make anything off of the drink menu so just be a grown up and order a drink. We then asked for the food menu, and he said we close in an hour but what do you want so we told him, and he said let me go see if we can do that. He came back and said sure if you hurry and order it. His name was Herman. We ordered our food to go; He was so very rude that we will never be back. The ravioli was good, but we won't pay those prices to be told to grow up and or be rushed to order our food and be told beer was the only drink option. Get rid of your outside bartender and maybe we will be back.

Updated review since they have new owners:

We've been to The Print Shop in Smyrna before the ownership change and saw the new reviews and really wanted to love it. I almost feel like you have to order the $21 cheeseburger to enjoy it, as that seems to be what everyone ordered and liked? That and the mussels or something, which we saw someone eating after we'd ordered our food. They're not on the menu.

Ordered an old fashioned with bulleit bourbon, but what actually did I get? Way too much simple syrup, some hybrid citrus that looked like grapefruit, and what seemed like a soaked maraschino cherry... Though I am not sure what it would have been soaked in. I added water to it, and I've honestly never done that in a restaurant. Arguably the worst old fashioned I've had, but I did drink it. Why? Honestly, I needed the drink and who knows what would have come back. It was comical.

We started with 2 appetizers, which we were surprised to be told were on special for half off or something.
First, the arancini, which were mostly cheese not rice with a very hard exterior and not fully hot inside. Seemed maybe frozen then refried?
The brussels needed salt, which is rare for me to say. The whipped feta from the arancini is what saved half the plate of Brussels for me. I quit eating them when I ran out of whipped feta.

For entrees:
I tried to order the Lamb Ragu but was told it was not available and offered the Bison Bolognese instead. The noodles all stuck together and tasted like the pasta water was not salted enough. The sauce was pretty delicious, though not noticeably bison... Could be farmed limitations, which is completely understandable.

My dining companion ordered the 12oz NY strip, which good flavor but there was a lot more fat than we're used to on a NY Strip. She subbed the polenta for the mashed potatoes, which, in a surprising turn of events, were very, very salty. When she ordered, we found out the veg of the day was broccolini, but she asked for a shop salad instead. She said it was bitter, probably from the greens. She dug around and ate all the toppings. Seemed like a spring mix but more bitter than normal, which is odd. Possibly would have paired better with a sweeter vinaigrette.

Other notes:
Saw people eating what were clearly off menu specials... Which we didn't hear about. Nor did we hear about the market or chef's choice items. Very nice server, but also probably very new to serving.

There were flies harassing us through our whole meal. It seriously felt like we were eating outside. Not sure if they leave big doors open through long portions of the day or what, but we were not the only ones waving and swatting the air throughout the meal.

Bathrooms were very dirty. The one I went into was not nearly as bad as the one my dining companion went into.

Beware if you're drinking in the back outdoor area. Uneven fake grass with big dips and possibly a hole? We saw a kid trip over it.

Newish ownership from what I'm told. Food is better that you might expect from a bar type atmosphere. The menu is a bit limited but that may have been that we were there on a Sunday. Good service.

Awesome restaurant. The cheese rissoto balls were great. The wedge salad was the best I've had. The chilled lettuce set it apat. Goat cheese on the Tomahawk porkchop is a great flavor combo, and the gnocchi were amazing according to my wife. And the Spanish cheesecake was a great ending. Plus the wine. We will be back soon.

I gave it 3 stars because a straight pour of a standard whiskey (nothing allocated or even close) shouldn't be $18. For the price of 3 pours, I could've gone and bought an entire bottle. Service was great, atmosphere was really nice, but I had 2 neat pours and it was $36 plus tax. Won't be back!

Since the Print Shop changed ownership, our experiences have been very solid. The food is a huge step up. The service has been great and the whole general atmosphere of the place is much lighter and more fun. Great place to have dinner with friends and family or just unwind with a beer or cocktail.

Stumbled upon Print Shop Restaurant in Smyrna, TN, while hunting for a chill pub/grill vibe with my friend for a quick bite and some cold beers… and wow, did we hit the jackpot! This place wasn’t quite what we expected, but it was SO much better. The casual, laid-back atmosphere with a touch of upscale flair instantly won us over. Think pool tables, an awesome outdoor bar with cozy seating, and a 2nd-floor bar with balcony views, perfect for soaking in the vibes.
The staff? Absolute rockstars! They made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The menu is a delightful mix of elevated pub fare and fancy sips. My friend went for the house margarita, hands down, one of the best she’s ever had, and their wine selection didn’t disappoint either. For food, I ordered the NY Strip with the veggie of the day, and let me tell you, this steak was a showstopper. Cooked to perfection, seasoned like a dream, and honestly one of the best steaks I’ve ever tasted.

Print Shop is a gem that nails the balance of cool, casual, and classy. I’m already counting down to my next visit, and if you go, do yourself a favor and order the steak, you won’t regret it!

Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food, drinks, and a fantastic time.

During my recent visit to The Print Shop in Smyrna, I was thoroughly impressed with the overall dining experience. As it was my first visit, I opted for the happy hour appetizers, complemented by a side order of meatballs that, while not part of the happy hour menu, were exquisite in flavor.
I kicked off the meal with the Brussels sprouts, which were perfectly crunchy and seasoned to perfection. They were a highlight of the evening! For my main appetizer, I chose the lemon pepper chicken wings. While they may not have been the freshest wings, they were certainly enjoyable, boasting a delightful flavor and generous size.
Overall, my experience was delightful, and I would rate The Print Shop a solid 9 out of 10. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu!
