We were on the road for at least five hours to and from our destination, and we stopped here both times. The staff was really kind and friendly. The food was good and fast. They had a restroom we used.

Visited the cafe on 9/17/2025. Food was excellent, hot and large portions. Service was also excellent. Young man that waited our table was very pleasant and helpful. Staff was very accommodating. We will definitely be back when we are in the area. And highly recommend it!

Great coffee, good food, fast service. Wholesome place and sweet employees. Would come back anytime and close to Fall Creek Falls.
We had family in town and cheeseburgers were requested by the kids and grandsons, so a quick drive to Mel’s was the perfect solution! Fresh, hand-patted burgers that were think and juicy, just like they were back in my teenage days. Add in the perfectly fried crinkle-cut fries and all the sides you could want or need. Thanks, Mel’s, for a great meal and friendly service….all served with a smile!
