The food was AMAZING! A very simple place, lacking a little atmosphere, but THE FOOD! Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. And wonderful service too. Will definitely become a regular for us.

We were so disappointed, as we expected a buffet and great experience, based from what I read on their website and here as well. The food was delicious, but our server was so bad that we’ll never go back. He was unsanitary, walking around on his phone, going outside, and then walking straight to the silverware and bringing it to our table. He held it all with his dirty hands, by the ends that touch the food, and plunked them down on our plates. He couldn’t understand anything we said, brought to-go bowls for our leftovers by holding them with his dirty fingers inside the bowls, and honestly it was just so bad that we kept wondering if we were part of a prank. The buffet was gone, there was no A/C and fans were on, service was apparently from a guy who has never been in a restaurant until today, and all of those things are unfortunate since the food was actually good.

8/28/25: I am updating my review based on a more recent experience at Bayleaf. Previously, I had given this restaurant five stars for food and service however, I am now updating this to a one star. I ordered paneer biryani, and while the paneer was lovely, the rice was lacking flavor, but had tons of heat. I can tolerate hot but it was borderline unbearable. The service and the atmosphere were extremely disappointing. First off I don’t think they use air-conditioning as it was extremely hot in the restaurant. It appears they had only half the lights on and all TVs were off. The server took forever to take our order, was not very friendly, never offered to refill beverages, never checked on us, and spent all his time on his phone. My guess is there’s been a change in ownership and not for the better.

Updated Review: Must have changed hands. Friendly Woman in charge is gone, has been gone for awhile seemingly. Overall the quality has Definitely gone down hill since her departure. Buffet is gone. TVs are gone. Service is terrible. No more fresh deserts in anymore in cabinet. Food is not as good, flavor is not there any more like it used to be. Today server was on phone the entire time never came back to offer refills. He was even outside on calls. Old Review: We always love helping out a family enterprise. Great family very friendly offering their native cuisine. We had several different of our usual Indian favorites and they were all delicious. If you like your Indian food mild it tastes good if you like your Indian food spicy it tastes good. Couldn't take my eyes off the Bollywood videos they were awesome.

I usually roll my eyes at reviews that mention bad service, but this was actually bad service. Anytime we needed a waiter there was no one to be seen. It took a very long time for anyone to take our order. The food was very good and flavorful though!

food tasted great until i found a fly in my food, kinda ruined my appetite. service also sucked, took forever for them to take our order or bring us water, never got water refilled either.
i got the Madras Goat Korma and it was delicious, the naan was also delicious but the dead fly in my food was disgusting

Have gotten multiple different things and everything has always been good and always gotten my order quickly and correctly! This is definitely the best Indian food in Spring Hill. Highly recommend people give it a try!

I don't like to write negative reviews but I wanted to give my experience on here for people like me who saw 4.8 stars and was looking for amazing authentic Indian food. (My husband and I tend to go to any Indian food restaurant we can go to while traveling)
That being said-
The spicing in Indian food usually makes my taste buds dance. At this restaurant, I was so underwhelmed by their offerings. My husband got Saag Paneer and it came out looking like pureed baby food with cheese in it. I got Aloo Gobi and it was a bit over cooked and the spices just weren't there. It was oddly sweet and had next to no seasonings. It was also kind of soupy? Again, kind of like pureed baby food. We got a mango Lassi and it was just meh.
It was the most underwhelming Indian food we have had, unfortunately.
Also, very hot in the restaurant (maybe their AC was down?) They had fans running. And next to no service.

I recently ordered the chicken fried rice and was quite disappointed. The taste was underwhelming, and the portion size was far too small, it didn’t even suffice for a full meal. I’d recommend taking a cue from Chai Samosa in Franklin, where the same dish is not only flavorful but also served in a generous portion with noticeably better quality.
