Denims Barbecue & Catering

I’m writing this as a first time reviewer of anything on this platform and rarely do I complain.

I just spent a year maintaining smokers and working in a BBQ joint .

I really had high hopes as I do my best to support local businesses, Especially when there is a competing commercialized BBQ place the next shopping center down.

That being said, I made a pick-up order and the young man behind the counter was super friendly and very nice.

So I get my meal home and I open the brisket and what I got was essentially jerky..
extremely dry.

What’s more is instead of sliced brisket like most places serve it I got a pile of what can only be described as thinky sliced trimmings from leftover briskets that typically would make a serving platter .

I also got the mac and cheese and it seems like it came out of a container of pre-made like the restaurant I worked in recently.

The coleslaw was good and the Brunswick stew wasn’t bad. But the brisket was a major let down.

I will attach photos but This is NOT how sliced brisket should look.

A highlight of all of this however was the Alabama white sauce. Really good stuff.

I hope this was just a bad night for the team at Denims or maybe a new person or whatever working in the back.

HUGE believer in supporting local biz. Absolutely AMAZING food. I got the pork plate with Mac and cheese and o rings. Came with cornbread muffin. You can tell the owner puts their heart and soul in the food. Highly recommend. This is a local, small biz in Spring Hill. Go support them!!

The food was absolutely amazing and the staff? So personable and nice! I love the pulled pork here it is so moist and delicious. The bbq sauce too has such a great flavor. As soon as you walk in you can smell the aroma of good southern food & that’s why I love eating in there! Thank you for serving your Spring Hill community!

Sooo good I don’t know how anyone could have a bad thing to say about this place!! the food was so yummy and fresh and it was a great family friendly atmosphere! My kids had so much fun and actually ate the food!! Mom win ❤️

I have been going to Denims bbq since long before it was Denims (when it was JJ’s). They have always been some of the nicest people and the service is quick but still quality. I have never had a problem with any of the food there, and actually find all of what I’ve tried to be very enjoyable. I will continue to go there and enjoy their bbq and their daily special deals!

Food was great! Banana Pudding and any of the pork dishes are a must try! I was also greeted upon entrance by very friendly staff! food didn’t take anymore than 15 minutes to be ready. will be coming back for sure!
