Because it’s been over a week and corporate hasn’t emailed me as they said they would, I’m writing this review. I went through drive through Monday September 9th 2024. I’ve been coming to this store for about 30 years, and this is about the third time I’ve gotten a disgusting meal. When I got home about 10 minutes later, the food is usually still very warm or hot but cold and hard in this case. There were two big pieces of fish that tasted good but cold, chicken slightly bigger than hush puppies cold hard salty, coleslaw warm cabbage vinegar taste not usual best ever mayo slaw, okra a few small dark hard cold pieces instead of abundant plump hot nicely breaded serving and hush puppies small dark cold serving. For some reason they discontinued and no longer have their delicious sweet and sour sauce! Please call corporate to bring it back like they did in Clarksville. I won’t go back to Springfield store and may possibly try other stores but not sure yet.

Good place with quick service, well-made "dishes" (considering the speed of the service) and finally the cashier staff (at the time of the visit, Saturday evening, a girl served us) helpful and kind.

Huh? Five stars for a fast food restaurant? Here's the deal. We went on a Sunday (which is now Seniors Menu Specials, along with Wednesdays and Saturdays), and we were met with a big bright genuine smile behind the counter. It turns out her husband was cooking. They were busy, but she remained calm, engaging, kind and efficient throughout our stay. There was an older woman customer who struggled with walking, and the owner (behind the counter again) was patient and kind. She sets a great standard for being empathetic and reassuring to those who struggle. If you like LJS's food, and you're in the area, Please support them. They're truly deserving.

This place needs a good cleaning! Ceiling is brown (used to be white) I watched a lady clean the tables and she was only wiping off half the table on each. The floors were so greasy it was dangerous walking on them.
