Always enjoyed the fish, cocktail shrimp and their french style pork chops. Sadly this was their last day...the owners retired and a Panda Express is going to be built on their lot instead. Catfish House will be sadly missed!

My fries and grilled chicken were cold with rotten tomatoes. I told Grace to take of my fries due to not having them hot. I told the cashier that my food was cold and she did not accommodate me or take off any money off my bill. I understand why they are closing with bad food being served.

It's a fun place to go, and it feels something like a large older inn's or bed and breakfast's dining room. There are definitely regulars. The service and food were great, just don't expect your orders to come quickly. Within the last few weeks, the owners announced they would be closing. Guess what? They've been busy ever since. It looks like it sometimes takes the threat of losing a treasure before we appreciate it, right? Go!

The place was not that busy and appeared to be settling from the early bird crowd. Positives: Staff was polite and we were seated quickly. It was quiet and the decor was nice When we paid again the staff was polite and friendly. Not so positive: Our waitress was slow to take our order and while I do understand cleaning up after a rush, not sweeping while I'm eating would be nice. The food was good, yet not worth the price. When I order sides with my meal, I would like my sides at the same time as my protein , not 20 min before. The fried mushrooms were amazing! The catfish, white beans, and coleslaw were ok, needed way more seasoning and my side salad was, every small, missing bacon and just looked sad. The chicken tenders were small and overcooked and the Mac n cheese tasted like velvet store bought box. My husband loved the fried corn. So the overall experience was ok and same with the food. Definitely not a place we would come back to, especially at those prices.
