First time eating at Willie Mae’s today and I was not disappointed! Best bbq and mac and cheese. I’ll definitely be back. Plus the girls that work there are super sweet.
Best barbecue in town, by far. Superior.
Excellent service, very fast, and the food is the best in the city, very delicious

Love the new bar and the staff (especially Connie and Hailey)! The owner did a great job with the atmosphere, he listens & acts to customer feedback, and has a great selection of beer (and at reasonable prices!). Keep up the fun events like free beer pong and billiards tournaments!

The moment you walk in the door your expectations jump because of the beautiful hickory smoky smell. I tried the Brisket dinner, and my wife tried the chicken sandwich and both were excellent. I can wait to go back and try the pulled pork.

Went in for the 1st time Sunday. I appreciated that they were actually open but the BBQ was not the greatest. You couldn't taste the meat just the smoke. We wanted to try the brisket but when we asked the cashier if it was good she said "It's decent". That didn't make me wanna throw my money at it but I guess I appreciate the honesty. Some folks might like it but it's not for us and we had to wait 20 minutes to get a half pound to go.

We ordered a full rack of ribs and sausage. The ribs tasted like it was made with liquid smoke because there was bitterness and toughness to the meat. It was kind of disappointing. My mother an sister hated it so much so I ate it all by myself. I was hungry so I ate it because i paid $40+. The service was impeccable and everything was clean though.

First time trying this place. Bbq was pretty good. The sides on the other hand were pretty plain. No flavor what so ever. Buns were about a 3 bite sandwich, fairly small. For the price, I expected more. Not what I expected at all.

My family came to Tennessee on Tuesday (8th), evacuating from hurricane Milton. On Friday, (12th), my brother in-law wanted to have dinner at Willie Mae's, specifically for the brisket. We arrived (party of 5) at 4:45 PM. At this time, there was one other couple in the restaurant, waiting for their food. Upon ordering, unfortunately, and once again, they were out of brisket. The young lady taking the orders appeared to be busy with other things as well as taking orders (bagging take out deliveries, etc...) By the time the young lady finished our order, it was 4:55 PM. We finally received our dine in meal at 5:20 PM. How does it take 25 minutes to get food that has already been cooked when there is only 1 other customer in the restaurant?? Needless to say, the food was room temperature at best. The sausage and pork were dry and WAY TO SMOKY tasting. The Texas toast was just that, toasted white bread.
I have been a frequent Willie Mae's customer for quite some time; however, our last 3 visits, the food was not good at all.
Willie Mae's, I am so disappointed and do not know what has happed to the quality of your food, but you definitely need to step it up! We will be taking a break from your establishment and hope that things change in the near future.

great tasting barbeque, sausage has much better flavor now!!
The best barbecue and friendly and helpful waitstaff. We’ve tried the brisket, pulled pork and bologna and all three are excellent. The pork is so tender! They have a good selection of sauces at each table. We eat here every time we’re in town.

Very expensive for average food. There is really nothing special about it. A family pack for 4 people is almost $48.00

The brisket was so tender and juicy. The flavor profile was perfect. For sides we had the green beans and macaroni and cheese. They have sweet cornbread. They were good, but nothing to rave about. The ribs were on point!!!! Fall off the bone and fingerlicking good. They were cooked to perfection. Portions were generous. The place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. Low lighting. Restrooms were clean. Service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be back. Parking was easy, but backing back out of the parking dpace took some patience.
