This was very good authentic food. Server checked on us multiple times and the chips were so fresh they were still warm. Portions were generous and I give everything an A+. I originally wanted to go for a fish dinner somewhere else but decided to just try this and it was a great idea.

We make it a point to stop here every year when at Reelfoot fishing. Food is always great, fast, and friendly.

Meal was fantastic! Savory, spicy, everything you would expect of a Mexican restaurant. And the house margaritas were potent! 🫡

I guess if you're really craving Mexican then you happen to be in tiptonville Tennessee. Go ahead and drive another 30 mi in any direction, for better dining experience. The waitress was eating when we walked in I've seen to be more interested in what she was eating then what we wanted to eat the order was wrong, when I said the order was wrong she doesn't know that's what you ordered and walked away a chicken bone in my friends shredded chicken I'm talking a whole bone not just a piece. Did not offer refills on drinks and I had to get up and get it to go box so I can take the food and feed it to my dog

I repeatedly said that I was deathly allergic to tomatoes. They put pico de gallo with my order. That's my bad, I didn't know it came with the meal, but when I told them I was allergic again and they had to remake it, the server got upset with me and went to just take it off. The juice will kill me. I told them that. I had them remake it, and the server got upset with us. She never returned to the table for anything after that. Horrible service. The food was alright, but I was scared to eat it. I do apologize that I won't risk my life for a mild inconvenience.

The food is on par with the more upscale Mexican restaurants in nearby Union City. In fact, I prefer El Potrillo's Pollo Loco over Los Portales'.
