Went to get fish tonight. We haven't been to captain D's in a long time. Ordered the family fish dinner. When I got home with it I didn't have my fries. Went back! When I walked in the guy behind the counter asked was l missing something on my order? Yes my fries l replied. He went and got the fries and set them on the counter. No Apologie! Nothing. Food was OK but mine was cold by the time I ate. Well except the fries.

In years past Captain D’s in Tullahoma has struggled with their inventory. Every time I came in they were out of something. Sometimes it was baked potatoes, or cocktail sauce. One time it was tea and another it was ketchup. Ketchup? Who runs out of ketchup when fries is a staple on your menu?! Well, McDonalds in Tullahoma, but that is another review. However, lately Captain D’s has stepped up and they have everything in stock and available. This visit they were out of green beans🙄. In their defense it was an evening visit. The food was very good. My regular is the Salmon. I’ve gotta get those Omega 3 ‘s. It wasn’t perfect, but even the top restaurants tend to overcook their seafood. The best veggie by far is the corn on the cob. It arrives very HOT and in a bag to keep it that way. The butter is refrigerated so I peel their lids and turn them upside down on my cob and let the heat melt the butter. Every 30 or so seconds I rotate the cob until it is richly buttered. It’s very sweet and fresh tasting. Peaches and cream corn can not hold a candle to this! Even in the dead of winter, this tastes garden fresh! Stop in and just order a corn on the cob, or add it to your fish and chicken meal. If you are a fan of corn on the cob, you will love what the Captain has to offer. Be sure to get plenty of napkins, you are going to need them.

I got the lobster bites and fish dinner. I was pretty disappointed. The lobster bites were over done and the 1 piece of fish was soggy. Their quality has gone down in the last few years.

I have patronized this Cap'n D's in the past and it was just a great place for fish. Not sure what happened but it's unfortunate. Service was not bad, cordial you might say.. Food quality was terrible honestly. Puppies were undercooked as were fries, fish was hot but everything else was cold. This was @ 10:45 and 2 patrons inside, was kind of hoping for hot food that early. Unless something changes, I will have to find another fish shack. Sad...

I’ve been a couple of times lately. Tonight I said let’s give them one more try. The food was soggy. Okra was soggy the fries were limp and what has happened to your chicken?Terrible taste and very small. Tonight the crust on the chicken was almost burnt, and you could tell it had been laying for awhile. And what’s with not having coleslaw anymore. Needless to say we are done. Tullahoma Captain D’s. I can see why they have a 3.8 rating.
The fish was great, but the chicken was to tough to eat. I went through drive thru.

Called in lunch order, senior meals two piece fish one with all hush puppies, other one had okra and fries. Requested tater sauce, ketsup, and sweet and sour, honey mustard. Got home with meal, and we didn’t have complete meals. Look like half order of okra, fries (so bad couldn’t eat) We work hard and when we go out to eat we want the quality of food to be able to eat and enjoy. We spent $15.33.

The coleslaw is darker and has a different bland taste. Coleslaw was also warm. Manager Shannon refused to believe it. Said I’m looking at it right here and it don’t look dark. Not like the caption d we go to where the coleslaw is cold and delicious.
