We always enjoy the experience at Emil's. The prices are a bit high, but it is an excellent place for a special lunch or dinner. Their classic tomato soup is one of my favorites. Specials are typically great.

An amazing experiance! Visiting from St Croix USVI, I was not expecting a quality place in the middle of the Tennessee country. Incredible food, and amazing drinks from Griffin. If you live in the area check them out, if you’re passing through it should be a “must stop” on your list! And personally! Thank you to the entire staff for a wonderful evening!

Hit or miss is the best way to describe Emil’s. Some meals are good; others not so much and leave you wondering if there is a real chef in the kitchen or a line cook from Ruby Tuesday’s. We were excited to take out-of-town friends here for dinner, but our excitement was short lived. The crab cakes arrived looking like they had sat under the heat lamp far too long. The black beans and rice were obviously dried out with no attempt to even stir them to get some life back in them. The “spaghetti” was a dried-out clump of noodles with barely a splash of tomato sauce and an Italian sausage link cut up. It looked like something a college kid would throw together instead of going to store. While our friends were gracious, you could tell downing the meal was difficult. Each asked for a to-go box, which they left behind at our house. We will probably try Emil’s one more time, without friends, but if this past experience is any indication, it may be our last.

I love the whole package. I love that they have containers of their chicken salad, pimento cheese, and other favorite menu items they sell in bulk.
The bar setting is very quaint and I love their Bloody Mary's.

We are from out of town and this restaurant was recommended to us. First of all, even though the restaurant was mostly empty of patrons, we were seated literally with our back to a curtain separating the room from the kitchen. We could hear the cooks cursing, and banging pots and pans etc. The entire front of the restaurant near the beautiful windows was vacant. Now the food….the garlic chicken was so dry I needed a steak knife, mashed potatoes were also dry…I had to ask for butter to eat them…which came in a packet, frozen. My wife’s pork was also dry, and the advertised German potatoes was a couple of boiled potatoes with some spice on top like garnish..thyme etc.

This restaurant makes me want to stay in Tullahoma. The ambiance - this is a house that they converted into a restaurant but it is really open and spacious. The staff - seems that the requirement to work there is you have to be a great, service oriented person who loves what they do. This visit was my first time going for lunch and I was stuffed. That tomato soup was the top three I’ve ever had. All the flavors perfectly balanced. I had the Emil’s salad with and shrimp. To say I was stuffed is an understatement and everything was perfect. Highly recommend.
