Not a bad little place at all. Food was good, you order at the counter and they bring it to you. Employees were also very friendly and helpful.

This is an obvious favorite of the locals in Smithville, TN. Despite the run down appearance of the exterior, the dining room is bright and clean and there is plenty of seating. I have to admit that if 2 different shop owners hadn’t recommended it to me, I would not have given it a second thought. That being said, the food is down home country cooking where the veggies have cooked for hours and the meat is well done. I found everything very tasty, just a little more cooked than I prefer. It reminded me of the meals my grandmother prepared where she started it in the morning and it stayed on the warmer all day. So, that was a good memory and I would probably eat here again if I am up this way. If you want a true old time country meal, check out Kountry Kafe.

Walked in had to walk up to counter to order. Never have to do that in a country diner. Ordered our food paid with card up front. Had to leave tip on card up front . Waited exactly 27 minutes to get our food. Hashbrowns cold. Biscuit&gravy had zero taste what so ever. Over easy eggs were decent. Sausage Patty's cheap meat. No good. At the table no salt and pepper in the shakers (must be a reason). This place shouldn't be called kountry kafe, it should be called the jailhouse diner due to no flavor cold food with bad service. Do not recommend for anyone to try this place out. I've been to hundreds of diners and this one has taken the spot as the worst.

Was looking for a good place for breakfast that wasnt fast food. This was not worth the trip out of Tullahoma. Had to order and wait at the counter for breakfast to be made, which i didnt realize until i sat down and finally saw the sign. Restaurant was not busy and had several people working and talking to each other. They didn't bother to tell me that I had to order at the counter.
Food tasted ok, was overpriced for the portions. Served on foam plates with plastic utensils. I expect this from a fast food place not a real restaurant. Plus when I got home I noticed a credit card fee on my receipt. Will never go there again.

Bacon over cooked. Biscuits served were cold & hard. Lots of oil with eggs & over cooked hash browns.
.Table behind me were served fresh biscuits, but not to me, a new customer!! Won't be going back.

The food was hot and yummy, and it was a great way to start the day. The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. Beautiful wooden tables and the art work was very patriotic and uplifting. Very clean from top to bottom. We will be back for sure!

This is a great little café! They make your food fresh at each visit, and use their own beef for their burgers. The food has been excellent each time we've been! I highly recommend!

Clean little place, well lit. Great food friendly staff and listening to the older men. Talking about horses and whatever really brings back mama's kitchen.
