El Costal Mexican Restaurant & Grill

Tried another place in town. Sat there for like 10 minutes. No one came, tried this place out... Homerun. They were quick to get us the initial stuff (chips, drinks etc) cheese dip is great. The werent stingy on the margaritas with too much ice, the layout and vibe is way better... this will be our new go to for mexican food in tullahoma. Fo.sho. lol

I had eaten at the restaurant a year ago, and came back because the food had been decent. However, this time around the salsa was watery, the rice and beans were nothing special, and the chicken quesidella was a little off, and all served warm, not hot. There were also some loud speakers in the middle that almost hurt the ears when passing.

Staff was nice, just disappointed with the food.

The food isn't as good as it used to be. It used to have tons of flavor, now the flavor is a little lacking. Also, my husbands beer was murky looking and tasted off. When we asked for a replacement they seemed confused. Service is always great. Salsa is the best in town which is why we come back.

I was really upset about El Costal, my 3rd and final visit. I had previously eaten there twice, and the food was fine. There is nothing special about it but good portion size. On this last visit, the food was horrible. The rice was completely overcooked and mushed together like mashed potatoes. Also, there was a puddle of water on my plate from my chili relleno. To say the least, i was very disappointed. The service is very good. Nice and friendly waiter's. They do have a GREAT selection of margaritas that are out of this world. The mango is straight Gas. Too bad about the food or this place would be a 5 star and my go-to restaurant in Tullahoma. Shame.

What can I say? This is the most amazing restaurant in Tennessee/anywhere I have ever eaten throughout many states Gus, and Mario make this place Amazing if you were ever in the town of Tullahoma stop by for the most amazing Mexican dinner you can ever imagine it doesn’t matter what they have on the menu it will be bar none Perfect. We have been coming here off and on 3 times a month. Hands down the best service/Management. Very clean and always on point.
