Great food, friendly and kind staff, grilled cheese sandwich & tomato soup, droolable!!! Wish we were locals, so we could return more often, must try for sure! Grape Sundrop, because they were out of cherry flavored ones.

The four star is for the food. It was a little over salted but good. The service was pretty amazing! Our server was great. She took all four of our orders by memory and got everything right. The restaurant is definitely a very cool blast from the past. We enjoyed the nostalgic feel of yesteryear. Breakfast is always hard to review because the delivery has got to be better than what you can do at home. The staff and the history of this place make it worth stopping in. I wish we were here longer so I could try other things on the menu. If I am ever in the area again I would definitely give it another try.

Our waitress was a joy. Wife enjoyed the French dip but did not care for the au-jus. I had a grilled cheese and bacon. Buttery and well made. Chocolate malt was tasty and very rich with good malt flavor. A bit expensive but enjoyable.

Absolutely love the French Dip sandwich as it all I order from here. I would love to try other menu items , but I had the sandwich once and I’m hooked!! I live far from this lovely cafe otherwise I would try other menu items . The Sundrop float is amazing!!

I’ve lived here for years and I can’t believe that today was my first time to eat at the Sundrop Shop! It absolutely will NOT be my last time. The club sandwich was loaded down with honey ham and turkey plus bacon, American cheese, lettuce and tomato. I could easily get full on half of it. For dessert was Miss Daisy’s Blondie Sundae. I will definitely be popping back in just to have that again. It was “plate licking delicious!!” Check it out. You’ll be so glad you did.

I live in Utah, but visit TN often for work. I make sure I visit this place every time I come to town. The French Dip with a Sundrop float is lunch that can't be beat.

We visited here for the first time yesterday and might I say magnificent! The service, decor and food were all great. This is now our favorite place. If you get the chance go it is so worth it. We had the BLT and French Dip sandwiches with a side of hashbrown casserole, sooooo yummy ❤️

This place is seriously the best. I love Sundrop so to be able to go to a place dedicated to it is great! The food is always super good and I’ve never had a bad experience!

Decent Atmosphere, But Service and Food Need Improvement

I recently visited the Sun Drop Shoppe and had a mixed experience. We opted for the patio seating, which had a cute and charming environment. However, we waited outside for a while before a waitress finally came out and rather abruptly asked if we were staying outside or coming in, without introducing herself.

Unfortunately, the service didn’t improve much from there. The food we ordered was quite bland and lacked any distinct flavor, which was disappointing given the nice ambiance of the place.

Overall, the Sun Drop Shoppe has a pleasant setting, but the service and food quality could use some significant improvements.
