Hidden gem. Happened to be in the McMinnville area and was told about this restaurant.
The deck overlooking the river was beautiful. It reminded us of a Wisconsin lodge.
The food was very good, with unique flavors. Will definitely visit again if/when in the area.

This is my happy place and my very favorite restaurant of all time!! š Just when I thought I couldnāt love it any moreā¦ā¦ I ordered the perfect dinner this past Saturday night. I got the swamp cakes, and they were the best crab cakes Iāve ever had!! Huge chunks of crab meat mixed with etouffee and smoked cheddar cheese atop creamy herbed grits with the vegetable of the day. My veggie was seasoned corn and it was divine!! The grits were perfection, they were light, fluffy, and creamy. For dessert, my friend and I split the bourbon pecan pie with fresh whipped cream. It was the best pecan pie Iāve ever tried, we both loved it!! š if you havenāt tried Foglight Foodhouse you really should!! The food is exceptional and the ambience is quirky and fun with many choices to dine outside on the porch overlooking the river, or inside where you can enjoy the folk art decor.

I donāt normally write food reviews. The place was amazing, food was top notch, and the view was beautiful sitting on the back dining area. Highly recommend if you enjoy Cajun food. Our waitress was also a delight.

Always a great experience! Delicious food, and exceptional service. My favorite is the soft pretzel appetizer with Parmesan cheese dip. Cozy atmosphere and located on the river! I would give this five stars. I highly recommend.

We discovered Foghouse Foodhouse while out exploring the Caney Fork River area. We had no clue and hadnāt checked reviews. We sort of expected a meat and three, but was pleasantly surprised when reviewing the menu which was full of thoughtfully creative dishes including some Cajun dishes. This place is awesome! Great food, service and atmosphere. Will definitely return!

Great food. I can't say enough about the sensations my palate has experienced. Eaten there twice this week. Brought friends with us the second time we went and they, too, said their food was the best they'd had. The dessert was also so delicious. No need to season your food. Not too salty just Pure Perfection, which doesn't aptly describe it. Come get lost and find your delectable delight do its dance on your tongue as you savor the flavor of pure perfection for yourself.
