For outdoor loving couples, get up early and do a two hour hike along nearby Obed or in Frozen Head State park (great hiking). Work up an appetite and then go to Tanner’s for breakfast (or lunch). Perfect start to a day. Simple menu of classic southern breakfast items. CLEAN, historic and charming. Tanner’s Historic Café in Wartburg is such a gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine smiles and hometown hospitality. Our waitress, Jay, was absolutely wonderful—attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed. Tanner's is a absolutely amazing place to stop by for some great and affordable food, their toast is near perfection, and their Buffalo chicken sandwich is very satisfying and filling.
