What this unique restaurant lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in food. The gyros plate was wonderful, and my son enjoyed the burger and fries. The gentleman working is very friendly and happy to each plate fresh to order!

The owner will authorize a $2 tip out of your card without your knowledge.

Delicious food worth the walk from the train depot. I'd go back here for a good Philly or chicken kabob, and the salad was delicious.

DELICIOUS! We were in town for a wedding and knew we’d need an easy evening meal to take back to our Airbnb - we’d already found Sparta on google maps and based on the reviews we figured we’d try it out - we were not disappointed!Very friendly owner who served us a feast to enjoy! We had the chicken and gyro mixed plate - it was very tasty and plentiful!! Perfect place to grab take out - you can just go in or phone in your order to pick up.

Edited Review: After the owner's review-reply, we decided to try this grill a second chance and had a MUCH better experience. The elderly gentleman was very friendly, kind, and helpful with ordering. We took our order home. The food was pretty good. We're glad for the owners response and that we gave this place another try. We'll be back.

Original review: I had been wanting to give this local restaurant a try so we stopped in on Watertown's yard sale day. The clerk was on his cell phone behind the counter when we entered, and completely ignored us. I thought, "Surely he'll let us know he will be right with us." In the mean time, we started to figure out what we wanted to try.

You'll first notice that this place has a few tables but clearly set up for carry out over eating in. It was dark (all the inside lights were off) and NOT very clean. After reviewing the expansive menu plastered over the walls, we stood there for several more minutes. The man continued with his conversation. Clearly, he didn't want to do any cooking that day, despite potentially having LOTS of business from shoppers coming into town for this sale. I asked my husband out loud if he wanted to leave. He said he did, and the phone conversation continued as we left.

You would think the man might, at that point, say something to indicate he wanted to keep a customer. Nope. Since Covid, my expectations regarding customer service has been reset. But this really takes the cake.

The food was delicious. The Chicken and Gyro plates were both tender and flavorful. The owner was friendly. You definitely need to give it a try.

Forget the lack of friendliest and hospitality...This place is a very dirty dive that didn't look like any food ever gets made here. Since that day, every time we drive past, there are no vehicles outside, but the open sign is lit. Hmmm. It reminds me of a donut place in South Nashville that never makes donuts. Sure seems like it is a front for something else so I suggest you avoid this place.
