There isn't enough space for me to say all of the good things I want to say about this restaurant and it's owners. My son got married in Whitwell today. It was a destination wedding for us as we all love out of state. The initial catering plan fell through. In a desperate plea, I reached out to Lisa to ask of they could deliver pizzas and salads to the venue. They went above and beyond to meet our needs and special requests including GF pizza. Then, the owners themselves delivered the food to the venue. Everyone raved about how delicious the pizza was. And the salad! So crisp and fresh as if it was picked straight from the garden right before delivery. Don't even get me started about the delicious homemade ranch dressing! We are beyond impressed and overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you so much for helping to save the day and making my son and new DILs wedding even more wonderful. We will definitely be dining in when we return to the area.

Holy cow if you have not gone yet then I suggest you RUN!! Inside and out of the building are immaculately clean, the staff are awesome, and you can't beat the price!! No matter what it is that you order it is absolutely worth the wait!!! This is one of those hidden Little gems in our beautiful valley were you walking with a rumbling belly and leave stuffed filter than a Thanksgiving turkey!! I ordered one meet three sides and a sweet tea I believe it was $10 or $11. I like how laid-back the atmosphere is the only thing I would change is every now and again I would turn the news off. It's nice to watch the news and be in the know but sometimes it's a little too much with all the negative and bad news. I do recommend you try the liver and onions I thought my grandmother's was absolutely the best until I went to Cafe on 28!!

Definitely exceeded expectations. Food was fantastic. They even had a daily meat and three board. Catfish was delicious, as were mashed potatoes, turnip greens, pinto beans, fried green tomatoes and Johnny Cakes. Everything that came to tables around us looked delicious as well.

Well when this place opened they were doing good. Food, service, friendly people, all good. Lately they have fell off on some things. I usually get the hamburger steak plate or pork chops. The hamburger steaks have gotten smaller and they must have changed cooks because they used to be juicy but Lately they are dry enough to hoke you. And today I called and ordered a cheeseburger and tater tots. The patty was dry as a bone. No juices at all and they forgot that a CHEESEburger should have cheese because there wasn't any on the burger. And it was a little over $14. I guess from now on ill just ease down to jasper or Kimball to one of the fast food places, I can get a cheeseburger, tater tots, AND a drink for under $14. And it will have cheese on the cheeseburger.
Mom and pop environment. Very nice staff and the food was amazing. Highly recommend giving this place a try.

So we are in Witwool 😉 looking for available land if possible and ate at Cafe on 28 on Saturday August 2nd . First Nicole the waitress was very attentive and great overall. THE FOOD!!! YALL! This place is made for one of those road side restaurant type shows. I had the Hog Wings which are the most flavorful, lots of meat on the bone, juiciest spare ribs I ever had anyway. My wife and son loved their food too. I would say they are shooting way past their initial curb side look and should not change a thing. The inside was very nice and the other people very cordial too. A must go to place.
