I was blown away by how awesome their burger is, and their onion rings are fantastic. The owner, James, is a Burger Artist who works hard to have the best burger in Tennessee. My husband and I were visiting the area for our honeymoon and we were looking for something close by, this is what we found! While I was not impressed by the looks of this place, the food and service were great! Don’t judge a book by its cover! I highly recommend the shrimp appetizer! Absolutely delicious!

Me and my wife are visiting the area from saint louis mo and we ate there last night. With limited time we chose cafe on 28 on a whim and we are happy that we did. The food and service both were awesome. We had the sticky shrimp and cheese sticks for an appetizer and my wife got catfish and I got a bbq bacon cheddar burger. Both were delicious and the portions were very generous and the prices were very reasonable. The seasoned fries were great and we really enjoyed our chocolate and Elvis Presley milkshakes. We don’t have any complaints. Everything was great and the staff were very nice and checked on us frequently. We recommend making a pit stop here!

Cute place. Small but comfortable & roomy enough to not have to fight through tables & chairs. Really cool menu items. Prices are pretty reasonable as well. Great atmosphere, Good service & clean. Restrooms were clean as well.

Waitress was so sweet. She was what made it ok. But I ordered scrambled eggs, I got fried ( I don't like fried) eggs. My bacon was sooo greasy. I ate one small bite of grits ate one half slice of toast. Chopped my eggs up thinking I could eat them but no go. It was obvious I did not eat and yet she continues on and charged me full price. I will not return.

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of variety in food options. Would be hard not to find something that satisfies every appetite as long as you enjoy southern cooking. Good number of kids eating while we were there.

We came to visit our friends, and they brought us to this little gem. My husband got the catfish, and I got the smash burger. Both are very good. Our server was good. The sweet tea is not sweet. Let's say not Georgia sweet. I would definitely go back. Forgot to find out about military discount.
