We went for lunch, off season, on a week day. I read that I had to walk into the office to order. The staff was very friendly and we got our food fast. I ordered the burger. Let's talk about a hamburger. A burger is just a burger, no matter where you go, right? WRONG! This burger, (a double patty cheese burger!)...was flat out phenomenal! There was special magic in this burger. Or maybe it was the amazing view off the covered patio of the water, ringed with a sneak peek of fall colored trees. Whatever it was, we had a great lunch and highly recommended it. Plenty of parking up top for motorcycles is an extra bonus! Great hidden gem!

The Hard Dock Cafe is part of a marina on a pretty body of water, serving boaters who can dock, and take a short stroll, to the restaurant with inside seating and an outside bar area. The weathered dock and restaurant serve boaters well. There's plenty of outside seating for groups arriving by boat. We had lunch outside at the bar, with a cheeseburger burrito and BLT sandwich. Both were filling, but low on flavor. The service was ok. Is this a food destination? Yes--if you pull up hungry on your boat--and simply looking for a fillup. It might be wise to ask first about the best items on the menu.
