Hadn't been to Skips in quite some time. Took a chance and went on the 1st, and boy am I glad that I did! The catfish was amazing, service was wonderful despite being packed. All around a wonderful experience. If you haven't been, or haven't been in a while, give it a shot!

Always a great meal at Skip's! It's a wonderful small town cafe with more than fair prices. Friendly servers, too! If you sit close to the kitchen you'll get a delicious breakfast and a show from the ladies singing in the kitchen. 😊

I wish I could give this place negative stars. The only good thing about it was the atmosphere. The food was okay, but not anything special. Then to make matters worse, when my husband told our server, Paisley, about my food allergies (allergic to onions), she seemed to be obvious to how food allergies work because even after it was made clear to leave the onions off of our food, it was still served to us with onions on it. Then when it was sent back, instead of taking the issue seriously, they just removed the onions and sent the same food back out to us. My husband told Paisley for the 4th time that having onions on our food would send me to the hospital. Then she proceeded to remove our food and have it remade. It took 15-20 minutes to get his food, a double cheeseburger and my hamburger steak was not cooked as requested and was nothing more than a hamburger party slapped on a plate, no gravy, sauce or anything else was offered with it. I also ordered a side salad with my meal and had to ask 3 different people about it before I finally received my salad. Also was charged for items that we ordered and never received. If you eat here be prepared for a train wreck and do yourself a favor and make sure you get any one but Paisley to wait on you. She is absolutely the worst excuse for a server that I have ever seen!
