Food here was really good! They have wine flight options as well as wine by the glass and bottle.
Decent place, not sure if it’s new or been around but I just noticed it recently. Doesn’t scream wine bar from walking up but the outside patio is really nice.

Talk about misleading…..whoa! The photos posted on review and the photos on the restaurant’s website did not begin to resemble anything we ate. Even the pizza crust was entirely different. One of the cheeses on the assortment platter was so old it was a rock. My dinner companion could not even eat his main course because the taste was terrible. Different chef? Maybe but overall the actual experience was more of a venue to pop into after doing some shopping, have a glass of wine and maybe snack. And btw, a bar that prides itself on offering cheese boards should know that cheese is served at room temperature; not cold from the refrigerator.

Patio dinner w wine flight. Charcuterie was wonderful as was our meal. Flatbreads and Panini. Especially enjoyed my No. 6 Bubbles “Flight,” specifically the third option in the flight which was a French Champagne. Service was perfect. TY
Excellent!

We sat outside and even though it was hot, it was so nice to be out there with the park view & live music just across the way. As always, all the food was good. 2/3 of my wine flight was good- one was terrible & I'd hoped they'd offer to switch it out to another one after I told the server. But, to be fair to her, I didn't directly ask for this. Crù is one of our favorite special date night locales.
Our first visit and we will definitely go back. Very nice for a special occasion. We tried the Restaurant Week Menu and if it's typical of all their fare, it was delicious, creative and beautiful. My only complaint was the volume of the music. It made it difficult to carry on a conversation.
My wife and I made a last minute decision to visit Cru for dinner and a glass of wine on this Monday night (vs cooking at home). Cru has been one of our favorite spots in Allen for several years, and tonight we were reminded of why that is. The setting and vibe of Cru is different than any other local establishment - it's like a cultural getaway in the heart of the city. The food is excellent - we both enjoyed the flatbreads which are fairly new menu items and great additions. But what really sets this place apart is the staff and the way that they treat and interact with the customers. There are very few places who have been able to hold onto a consistent staff over multiple years, but somehow Cru has been able to do this (credit to the Management team). We've enjoyed getting to know several members of the staff over the years. Tonight, both Kira and Josh were exceptional. If you want an intimate evening to yourself, they will grant you that. If you want a bit more interaction and some fun recommendations on wine or champagne options, they were spot on with their recommendations. (Cakebread Sav Blanc was a fantastic suggestion by Kira that I had not noticed on the menu). Overall - we had a great evening, and honestly, it was so much mote enjoyable than a 'regular' Monday dining at home. We highly recommend Cru - it is a fantastic local establishment that warrants local support. And be sure to ask for Kira and/or Josh - they are some of our favorite people.
I would tell you not to stop at Cru. Pass this restaurant. It is supposed to be a wine bar but the wine selection is very marginal. And then there are the dirty windows, chipped plates and poor service. The menu is overpriced, like the wine and the options are limited. It is okay to have a limited menu if you excel at the options offered. Don't count on that at this place. This used to be a nice place but it needs a lot of attention to cleanliness, quality of food and if you want to be a wine bar, offer good wines at an affordable price, not crap wines that are overpriced. And when you teach your staff how to wait on tables, make sure you emphasize the importance of being cordial, welcoming and informative. Otherwise, just make it self service. Get rid of the ridiculous music, it is the final piece to ruining the entire dining experience at Cru.
Excellent tasting food and great service! The portion size of everything was small. The scallop dish had 3 scallops about the size of fifty cent pieces. The scallops were very small!

Came here for Restaurant week and tried their $59 menu. The food was outstanding. I loved the scallops and my husband loved his steak. Our server was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and the wines were delicious. They made a customer of us for life. We are planning on going back next week!
very disappointed !! . My first new year in the US, December 31/2024, I decided to celebrate at their Watters Creek Village . My husband and I were the only guests, it was strange, but far from being the only ones, I still said I can have a good time, but the staff was more arrogant because they gave us everything quickly from the bad service of the waitress. They rushed us to eat at all times, I didn't even enjoy my dinner, the staff was in a great hurry to get us out of there. It was disappointing, the worst thing in my life, now I understand why the place is always empty, I literally had to go to the bar across the street that had a lot of life and party and the waiters were very friendly.

For a Memorial Weekend Sunday, it was a very quiet visit to this spot which sort of zapped the anticipation level for a first-time visit with three old friends. The server gal was very friendly and helpful with the wine and food menus. We tried the calamari and shrimp for an appetizer which everyone said it was spot on good, very tender and perfectly prepared. We also had the salmon served with fresh asparagus and grilled Brussel sprouts, all very fresh and beautifully presented. We each tried a different flight of wine which were noteworthy. Maybe we'll visit again when it's a little more lively!
