Was in Plano attending a conference and we had dinner at Cru. The short ribs were incredible and was lucky enough to split deserts with a fellow traveler and was glad I did since the tiramisu and lava cake were outstanding. Great location and cool spot for a nice dinner.

My wife and I were absolutely thrilled to celebrate Valentine's Day, and we decided to come to this amazing place for the 4-course prix fixe menu. Let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! The food was beyond delicious, and my wife and I couldn't find a single fault. Oh, and the wine that was carefully selected to accompany our meal? Went for Valentine's Day 4 course meal with options. The food was excellent but very poor service. Order at 730 did not finish our meal until nearly 10. Waited a long time between courses. Will go again just not on Valentine's Day.
Cru isn't what it used to be. Flights aren't presented the same way. They used to serve, briefly show each one. Now they just plop the card down and serve. Menus are dirty and old. My wife's flight was served and they completely forgot about my wine. Good was served before I had to remind them. They are really missing the higher end etiquette.

Went on a Monday night with some friends. They had a special buy a bottle of wine and get a free pizza so we indulged! It was not busy and it was very delicious!

Think twice before going...Good wine selection, good atmosphere, food was pretty good except my filet was undercooked. $75 pp meal for New Years Eve and it was a little overpriced. I would have a better feeling about the experience except I paid with $300 cash and was accused of shorting them. Called me on my cell 40 minutes after paying to ask if there was a mixup?! I paid with 3 $100 bills and the waiter reviewed it as he was walking away and turned to ask if I wanted change. Then after we sat there for another 20 minutes enjoying our wine, and then another 20 minutes as we drove away, we get a phone call that we didn't pay enough?!? I gave a $60 tip for a $240 bill but I guess someone felt they needed a bigger tip? Lesson learned- never pay with cash and trust no one. Very disappointing...

This place is our neighborhood favorite! Cru never fails to impress on food quality, value, service, and ambience. We have been coming here for more than 10 years for a reason - fabulous wine and an amazing menu every time. Our New Year's Eve dinner was absolutely superb so it was a great way to end the year!
My wife, son, and I ate at Cru last night. As usual, we truly enjoyed our experience (my wife and I dine at Cru about once per week). It was busy for a Wednesday, with one larger group having a holiday event there. Even so, the manager stopped by and chatted with us for a few minutes, always making us feel welcome, and I see him doing this with other guests as well. We have a few servers that feel like friends now (Josh and Kyra) - and all the serving staff is very friendly. We always appreciate their hospitality and kindness, and thats a large part of why we continue to come back. We of course love the wine selections - which are always changing - and we continue to discover new wines that we enjoy. And our favorite new dish is the 'Chicken Alla Francese". Our son loves their pizza. Cru is such a gem in Watters...a warm, intimate environment inside, or you can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air and trendy Watters Creek area. Highly recommend.

Gosh..I hate to leave a subpar review but I had such high hopes but was terribly disappointed. Well we decided to splurge and go out for Thanksgiving dinner...$55 pp for 3 course dinner. Started off with a “wish you weren't here” ambience and did not witness a smile (until our bill was delivered to the table) $350 dollar bill for a below average Thanksgiving meal! This place should stay closed for holidays. Clearly the staff chosen to work this evening was a mistake. Will not return..ever!

This was our first time at CRU.. for Thanksgiving dinner and we were impressed. Not only does CRU offer excellent wine options but the food is very nicely done. Small and intimate yet casual with exceptional service.

My wife and I both love this place. We live nearby, and we go to Cru for dinner (and wine) at least once per week, and have been going for years. The atmosphere is great - it's very cozy, and thankfully not overly big, loud and commercialized. Patio is a great option too, as Watters Creek is a great location. Over time, we have made friends with a few of the hosts - Kyra and Josh - who have both been at this location for years and are ALWAYS so pleasant, friendly, accommodating, and helpful with recommendations etc. Actually, tonight Kyra recommended a great bottle of wine that wasn't listed on the main pairing menu, and Sunday is 30% off a bottle...so win, win! Highly recommend the pizzas, our son loves the steak, and they have a great new chicken dish. The 'flights' of wine offer 3 different glasses of different styles, and it has introduced us to a number of new favorites. Highly recommended, and be sure to say hello to Josh and Kyra!
