I have dined in and ordered takeout from Dawon, and I've enjoyed my visit both times. I ordered Ttobbokki with noodles, LA Galbi, and bulgogi.The items were quite tasty. The bulgogi was a takeout order, and it came with Banchan and nice, big lettuce leaves. It was all tasty.The atmosphere is not fancy by any means, but it's functional and comfortable. The service was nice. At least I had a good time chatting with the lady at the front desk. She checked on us quite often to see if we were comfortable.Overall, I enjoyed my meal here and will be back again

Love the lack of single use plastics if you dine in! Everything except some Styrofoam cups and straws are reusable.Food was pretty good. I enjoyed my spicy pork bento and my accomplice liked their katsu (super crispy !). I really like the bentos; they are the perfect portion size. Only thing I didn't like so much was the banchan. They were slightly bland and old tasting. We did come in pretty late, so might've gotten the day's end of banchan.

Best tdokbokee around. Fully loaded with incredible flavor. The beef dolsot bibimbap is also fantastic. Bento here is the best takeout option for a variety of flavors.The service is sweet and professional, the atmosphere is laid back. Everything is clean. Dawon is the best Korean spot in the Allen/McKinney area hands down.

The food is legit and delicious! I got the bugolgi bento and my friend got their kimchi fried rice. Super yummy. Dine in is self service for water and tableware. Food came out in a good amount of time. Banchan was varied and good as well.

We were excited to try some Korean food, so we found this place and decided to give it a try. However, we were quite disappointed with the food we ordered. The taste wasn't good, and the portion sizes were unsatisfactory. I won't recommend it, though.

Excellent food. Good price. No real complaints here. I got a bulgogi bento box and it was just the right amount of food, and a good portion of meat (sometimes places skimp on the meat). The gyoza was good and the sides were also solid, though I'm not a kimchi fan. It's a counter order place so if you are sticking around to eat you need to go get your own cutlery from the table near the front counter. Seating area is rather small.Service was quick, the food arrived in maybe 10 minutes.I'd definitely come back here. Give it a try!

The kimchi soup brought me back to my godmother’s kimchi stew that she would make me because she knew it was my favorite: The mackerel with all the delicious side dishes (perfectly marinated sweet and salty potatoes, kimchi, cucumber kimchi, omelette, rice cakes) made me feel like I was sitting at my mom’s table during a visit to Korea - pure homemade love. All this to say Dawon tastes like home and is delicious. Thank you for making delicious food!

Went in w my kids on a Sunday afternoon. Some of my food was cold, refrigerator cold n other food was NOT piping hot. Felt like I was eating cold leftovers. I mentioned the cold food n it was NOT corrected.
