Really thought they were closed.....no cars at noon and you can't see if their "open" sign is illuminated.Food was ok, nothing great. Service was lacking, filled water glass on half our table and left the other half without refills. Noticeably had a sewer smell lingering, which was unappealing .We tried it, we won't return.Good luck Ellen's

Omg!!!!!!!!!! This is an awesome place to just be in!!!!!! The minute you walk in, you meet the beautiful hostess who greet you with a beautiful smile. After you are seated, you hear the sound of wonderful music that makes your heart skip a beat and your body dance to the beat!!!!! We had an awesome waiter, Thane he made our breakfast experience so great!!!! He was very knowledgeable about the menu and suggested other items also. He was very friendly and ready to serve us great customer service!!!!We knew then we were in the right place. We got a chance to meet one of the managers, Shaun. Please forgive me if I spelled your name wrong or this is not your name!!!!!...lol...lol..lol We ordered some delicious meals, omg!!!! The best breakfast meal we have ever had!!!!Shaun, the manager, showed me around the place. It was so beautiful with the detail of the glass frame on the dark wood that was so inviting!!!!. and the beautiful artwork that followed you around the walls of the restaurant. The restrooms are very clean. And to top it all off, they have a beautiful library where I believe you can reseve for a party. This place took my breath away. I was in awe of beauty and hospitality!!! This awesome restaurant is right in my backyard. I can't wait to come back this time. I'm bringing my husband!!!!Very satisfied customerMardianne

The service was fine, but nothing else was. The food was greasy. The music was bad and loud. And nothing says "trashy" like having Jerry Springer fistfights on the big screen TV. Yes, seriously.Having visited the downtown Ellen's years ago, I had high hopes for this place. Major letdown. I felt like asking for a refund, but all I really wanted to do was just get out. Never again.

Food is average for high menu prices. If you don’t like something you ordered, they’ll replace it with something else- no comps. Plate items are very large so consider sharing.

Good food but overpriced. Had to wait for coffee refills. Ordered biscuits and gravy with meal and only a small amount of gravy was included on biscuits then charged an extra $2 to get enough to finish my meal. It was not crowded but had to wait a while for check. Waiter was pleasant as well as the rest of the staff.

First time there, staff was friendly and helpful with menu items. We each ordered something different and were very pleased with our choices. I had the Fried Tomato Eggs Benedict . The yolk wasn't runny but was very soft and actually worked with the fried egg to keep the crunch. My friend ordered the Chicken Fried Eggs Benedict...perfection. each came with and side salad with mixed greens and topping that accentuated the order. It is a very nice setting inside. We will be back!

We were a party of seven over four generations. The location was convenient to our hotel. They were moderately busy on a Friday evening. The dining area is large, but separated into sections. The dark wood paneled walls are covered with large mirrors. They kindly let the great grandfather in our party order off the children's menu. One of our party ordered the Shrimp and Grits and was pleased. I had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. It was overcooked and a dark brown color and the meat was tough. My accompanying side was Macaroni and Cheese and was uninspired. The meals didn't come out at the same time. The server was pleasant, but the overall pace was slow.

I’ve been a fan of the downtown Dallas location, and was in the area for a business meeting. There were 3 of us, each ordered something different. Incredible omelettes. Fully loaded with the spinach, bacon, mushrooms and cheese I requested. Another member of my party said he really enjoyed his Chicken fried Chicken. He had sides of mushrooms and chiles, and Mac and cheese. Service was excellent too. Prompt and friendly. Our soft drinks never went empty. Highly recommend this location!

Was looking for a brunch place with alcohol served and was glad to find this place! Really enjoyed the huevos benedict and the deep fried strawberry shortcake reminds me of funnel cakes in carnivals with more goodness. The wait staff is really nice and attentiveWould definitely return to try out the other dishes!

The service was great! Our waiter was really nice and patient with my grandmother who can be a bit indecisive at times. The food was good as well. We had the chicken fried steak, fried catfish, and shrimp & grits. The steamed broccoli needed a little more seasoning but other than that is was good.

We arrived and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, which isnt bad at all. The atmosphere is wonderful, it wasnt too busy but we had to get a waiters attention a few times for simple things like having our water refilled. So the service could have been better, but they were all very respectful. The food is amazing, the drinks are also amazing, and its really an amazing price for the quality. Definitely recommend going here for brunches.

A comfortable relaxing place to grab a bite to eat. Service was good, although it took a while to get our check at the end. Food was okay, asparagus were just asparagus, BLTEA without the egg was lacking freshness. Bacon must have been cooked in the morning it was tough and hard. Had to look for the avocado. House margarita is a very basic margarita. I will go back and try some different things.

At first prices seem a little high, but then you think oh it’s a brunch place so thats fair and then you get your food and it is well worth the price. The size of food is more than filling and it’s flavor is fantastic! The waitress was super nice and on a weekday it’s not busy at all. The food is organic and locally sourced as well.Parking: They have disabled parking. We took our grandmother and the bathroom and walk up was very easy for her. Doors are heavy though.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a a easy walk up. But it’s a little uphill nothing big though

First time at Ellen’s, and I’m embarrassed to say that the local commercials got me to walk through the door (the high Yelp reviews solidified the plan in place).I was drawn to the “Pancake Pot Pie”, and had to give this unique creation a try.The Pancake Pot pie had pancakes, eggs, bacon, potatoes, sausage gravy, and cheese. It was an interesting combo! Our server was nice and came in to check in on us a few times throughout our meal.I didn’t know you can get a reservation! We made the mistake of not having one and arrived at 11:30 on a Sunday. We had to wait 45 minutes for 2 people. If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t wait that long. The food was good, but not mind blowing. The inside of the restaurant is cuter than what the outside leads you to believe! It’s very modern yet cozy on the inside.
