Among the best Tex-Mex in the region, and they obviously know what they're doing. Their beef fajitas are my go-to, as their beef is cooked & seasoned well, with a tinge of lime flavor that you'd be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. Their standard salsa, and even their bean salsa (also a rarity) are the real deal, along with their tortillas.

That said, a major issue I have is the thinness of their tortilla chips, which break at the slightest resistance. It's inexcusable, considering that they use thicker ones in their nacho dishes. I get that the thinner ones are cheaper, but they're an annoyance that taints the dining experience enough to lose a star. Maybe ask if we want the thicker ones and even charge for them if you have to... any option is better than none.

The food itself was okay, but the rice was quite stale. The service was also extremely poor, and the server even refilled my water with a glass that had clearly been used by another customer, which was quite disgusting.

Food was good but lost my appetite when I found a HAIR in my enchiladas!

Got mixed beef and chicken fajitas and they were absolutely everything you could hope for! Juicy, flavor filled and the steak was even a perfect medium. Diego was our server and didn’t skip a beat and even the manager, Norman stopped by and was super cool. Hats off!

If you’re anywhere near Allen, Texas and even thinking about Mexican food, do yourself a favor and just go to Lupe Tortilla. This place isn’t riding hype—it’s earning it, plate by sizzling plate.

Let’s start with the star of the show: the fajitas. They arrive at the table still singing, hot skillet crackling like applause. The beef is tender, seasoned perfectly, and cooked the way fajitas should be—juicy, flavorful, and unapologetically bold. The chicken? Same treatment—marinated deeply, grilled just right, and never dry. Shrimp fajitas hold their own too. These aren’t “pretty good for a chain” fajitas; these are remember-where-you-were-when-you-ate-them fajitas.

And it doesn’t stop there. The homemade tortillas are a big deal for a reason—warm, soft, slightly chewy, and addictive enough that you’ll lose count before the basket’s half empty. The salsas bring real flavor, not just heat. The guacamole is consistently fresh and well-seasoned. Enchiladas, tacos, queso, margaritas—everything feels intentional, generous, and done with pride.

Now, the service. This is where Lupe Tortilla in Allen really separates itself. The staff is friendly without being fake, attentive without hovering, and genuinely happy to have you there. You’re not rushed. Drinks stay full. Food comes out hot and timely. Questions are answered like you’re talking to a friend who knows the menu inside and out—because they do.

As for the atmosphere, it strikes that perfect balance: lively, welcoming, and comfortable. It’s energetic without being chaotic, upbeat without being overwhelming. Whether you’re there for a date night, a family dinner, or a group of friends who just worked up an appetite, it fits. You can feel the buzz—the hum of good food, good conversation, and people having a genuinely good time.

Bottom line: Lupe Tortilla in Allen isn’t just consistent—it’s reliably excellent. Incredible fajitas, a deep and satisfying menu, top-notch service, and a warm, vibrant atmosphere make it a place people return to again and again. This is five-star food with zero pretense and all the heart. You’ll leave happy, full, and already planning your next visit.

My husband and I decided to stop by last night after adulting and a bit of dilly dallying and I’m so glad we did! They were extremely packed, but it was a great night for patio dining so that’s what we did! Shoutout to the head chef for the fajita sample. The cut of meat, tenderness and flavor of the beef was superb. Shrimp were fresh, tortillas nice and hot. While we leave further west, West Prosper which is a bit of a hike, we’ll definitely be back for sure. Or you can it just come to Fm 423 and Hwy 380.

Used to be good! Arrived in town and headed straight to Lupe’s for dinner! Awful experience. Wife’s meal she ordered came out wrong but she went ahead and accepted it. To begin with corn was burnt and cold, no vegetables in enchiladas but was charged extra for mushrooms. My tacos were cold and shells were stale. Don’t think we will be returning.
