You will never find better homemade donuts than at Max's. This is one of those small non-chain restaurants where you can see people right behind the counter making them each and every day. The taste is unmatched, and Max's is the ONLY place where the simple glazed donut is raised to an entirely new level. Prices are reasonable, everything is ultra fresh, and the selection is superb, ranging from the classic donuts to jelly filled to cinnamon rolls with the circumference of a soccer ball. Of course they also carry a great selection of kolache (sausage roll for those new to or visiting the area) and several fridges with beverages. Whether for the office or your family, you won't go wrong grabbing a box from here.

This is not sit down place. It's been around awhile so place is a little dated. Their donuts are great! There is a line in the morning. Husband loved it, he said that the donuts are similar to the ones he ate growing up

If you want ice cold smokies with no cheese (yes I ordered the ones with cheese) this is the place for you. I've been coming here for 30 years and its not anything like it used to be. I never waste food and I threw 4 of my 6 smokies in the trash where they belong . RIP to the old Max's donuts

Shipley’s is superior to Max’s by a long shot! Apparently Max’s was great before they sold to new ownership, but I wish I had saved my $20 as I tossed everything I bought as it was pretty inedible.

The donuts are good but only one of them beat my other shop the cinnamon cake They don’t offer strawberry flavor or to warm your kolaches they just want u gone I felt very rushed and like I couldn’t choose what donuts I wanted I don’t eat them but once a year so I don’t know what I want to order it’s not like I have it memories or have a moment to look I know they are busy but they definitely don’t deserve a tip when it feels like an assembly line and not a donut shop I will stick to my home shop from now on :)
