Good donuts, but they have not been the same since COVID. If you don't get there right when they open, there is a high chance they'll be out of pretty much everything except the glaze donuts.
They also only do to-go orders now - no more dining in.

I first had these in 2015 while visiting and they were very good. I tried them again today and they are still as good as I remember and pillowy soft. They are very busy and apparently only make a certain amount of donuts a day despite operation hours. You must go at opening if you want to experience the entire selection. I was there at 8:30 and the line wrapped around the store with minimal selection. By the time I made it to the front, they put a sign up that said “almost sold out”. Just FYI if you are driving a distance.

Hark! To all ye seekers of sweetness, I tell thee of a wondrous place, a fair doughnut shoppe wherein joy and delight abound. Verily, upon mine visit to this humble abode, I was met with treasures of dough, round and golden, bathed in honeyed glaze and sprinkled with spiced sugar, as though crafted by the hands of angels.
The doughnuts, soft as downy clouds, were as warm as a hearth on a cold winter’s eve, filling mine heart with cheer and contentment. Each morsel was a blessing unto mine tongue, so rich and sweet, I thought myself transported to a heavenly feast. The flavours, diverse and plentiful, ranged from the simple to the exotic, yet all were of the highest grace.
The good folk who tend this shoppe were kind and courteous, serving with a smile and speaking with mirth. Their hands, skilled and swift, doth prepare these delicacies with care, as one would tend to the fairest of gardens.
In sooth, I shall return with haste, for no sweeter fare may be found in all the realm. I bid thee, friends, make pilgrimage to this doughnut shoppe, for therein lies a bounty of bliss beyond measure.

i went this morning and bought a dozen donuts and 3 separate glezed, the dozen looked fresh but the other 3 were definitely not made this morning, been going for years here, a little disappointed ☹️

Drove half and hour here to try them out a second time. The first time, they had run out and only had cake donuts. Cake donuts were okay. This time I got there a bit earlier and they had glazed donuts. The chocolate and glazed were way too sweet. Not enjoyable at all. The ladies working there were nice.

1.50$ for the smallest kolaches I've ever seen.
Order only kolaches, surprised that this is the first place to ever not heat up kolaches and served them to me cold.
Needless to say won't ever be returning.

Very disappointed. Donuts were under fried, way to much glaze and apple fritters had no flavor. Way to expensive for quality. Went on a Friday morning at 8:30 am.

I grew up in Allen and used to go here all of the time, so many memories from my child hood. I had not had it in years and went this morning and man I was so disappointed. No tables to sit at, all the little league plaques that used to hang, gone. The smokies, are not smokies, they taste like every other donut shop. I am so sad about this and its so disappointing.
