Papa Lopez Mexican Cantina

Brunch menu stated that eggs and chorizo had potatoes and pico de gallo. However, when the server brought it out, she said they ran out of potatoes yesterday. There was no pico on the plate. My friend ordered hers with no potatoes and fruit instead, so they also gave me fruit- 4 grapes and a small apple slice. 🫤
It would have been nice to have the option to still get the plate with no potatoes or choose something else.

Papa Lopez is our absolute favorite restaurant in the area. We are regulars and for a reason! The service is impeccable and the quality of the food is excellent. Whole, white meat, diced chicken breast on my favorite, individually dressed fajita nachos. Fans for a decade as our go-to Tex-Mex joint. Shout out to Ricardo! Thank you for being a part of our dinner planning year after year and our favorite place to celebrate any happy occasion!

The reason why I am giving a 2 star is due to the food.. we visited the place post seeing the reviews, but unfortunately it was a bad decision... Firstly there was no one in the restaurant on a Sunday evening, at 8 30 pm (Restaurant closes at 9 30).. we ordered chimichangas, but those were just the too bland, very little cheese, no spices nothing at all .. only the churos were good...it's possible that the main coin had left for the day, but nevertheless they need to provide good food, no matter what .. I don't think we are ever visiting this place again ..

I absolutely love Mexican food! This place… if you are looking for good service and drinks come here! Also make sure you ask for Kayla. Because she has the best smile and makes you feel so welcome.

We had such a great experience at Papa Lopez Mexican Restaurant — the food was really good, fresh, and full of flavor. Everything came out hot and tasted amazing.
Kayla, our waitress, was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests, and her positive attitude really made our visit even better.
Honestly, the horrible review below sounds like that guy just had a bad day, because our experience was the complete opposite. We’ll definitely be back — and we hope to get Kayla again!

Love this restaurant. The chicken quesadilla is great and I love the salsa and chips that came with my to go order. It had just the right amount of flavor. I'll recommend and definitely will be back.

I found this place pretty nice and me and my fiance really liked the food. However, the server we had her name was Kayla. She was absolutely terrible, she had no people skills. Didn't seem like she wanted to be there and was rude and short with us but nice to the other tables that she had. We were extremely pleasant with her saying please and thank you but we could not crack that hard exterior. After taking our order she literally just walked off and didn't say anything else. The only speed of service or promptness of service we received was when she delivered the check, she was very quick to get us out of there. For the first time in my life I left a terrible tip. I've waited tables half my life and I never leave Such a terrible tip. But this person was really terrible at their job. And I just think it's very difficult for a person to be a server if they do not like customers. She just wasn't very pleasant. First time we ever tried this restaurant and we won't be back because I don't want her to ever wait on me again. Food was good though and the atmosphere seemed like it was pretty cool but I'm afraid of what other type of servers they have there if this person's allowed to be working there.

I went to Papa Lopez one Friday evening and had a great time! It was not crowded at all- to the point I thought it was closed, I arrived around 8:45. The bartender, Bronx, informed us we could sit anywhere and a server would be right with us. Ricardo was our guy and he was so much fun! We ordered 2 margarita flights, an appetizer sampler, queso and enchilada. He answered all of our questions and was very attentive to us. The food was amazing, the salsa was spicy, queso was steaming hot and the flight was 10/10! He has us cracking up the entire time. While they closed up the shop, the team let us stay as long as we wanted. The margaritas were AMAZING! Thank you Ricardo and Bronx!

I haven’t been coming for a while because things had deteriorated however I broke down today and got to go order when I got home. My daughter’s burrito was completely wrong. I told the hostess chicken cheese beans nothing else no rice no nothing. They put everything except the rice on it. I told the hostess (same one) it was wrong on the phone and told her I was sending my daughter up there and she seemed fine with it and to agree with me. Then, when my daughter got there, the hostess refused to remake it right. Why didn't she at least have the decency to tell me before my daughter carted herself up there? Then, the manager said he had to side with the hostess, this inexperienced kid who actually told me to I could send my daughter back up there! I should’ve learned my lesson the first time. I did call and try to speak with a manager, but every time I called the girl who took my order wrong would hang up on me!

Have been coming to this restaurant for around 15 years if not more. Back in the day we were loyal customers to the point that we got a condolence letter when my dad passed from the owner. We have since moved so whenever we go here its a special treat. The past few times we have had a couple problems but nothing too bad. Today we were given the incorrect order. Of course we didnt find out till we were 30 mins away. We called and explained the situation and they said to come back in and it will be remade. After another 30 minute drive I was informed that the hostess doesnt believe that my mom told her the correct information and therefore they didnt make it wrong so they will not remake it. As a lifelong picky eater I highly highly doubt that my mom did not stress that it needs no veggies and no sour cream but I digress. I am having a bad day and was really excited to eat because my medication makes it hard for me to get food in me but that didnt happen. I am disappointed and sad because I just wanted my food the right way and that didnt happen, i also had to drive an extra hour total over this thinking that the problem would be fixed, and on top of that I am on the clock so my company had to pay me for this time. I just wanted a plain burrito with beans, cheese, chicken, and nothing else.

I ordered 30 single tacos with queso and salsa. When my friend went to pick it up while I was in the hospital, they changed it to $582. You can clearly see what I ordered and I’m so disappointed. The owner keeps dogging all of my calls and refuses to do anything about it. THIS IS NOT OKAY!!!! We budgeted &200 for catering and it took 3x the amount. I’m a stay at home mom always struggling to cover the basic bills.
