Casual spot serving incredible, authentic Indonesian food. Got the beef rendang - it’s probably one of the best things I’ve eaten all year.

They service fake Indonesian food. If you are looking for white washed Indonesian food that tastes NOTHING like what they serve in Indonesia, this is the place for you. They are also super stingy with their sambal chilli, which is the staple of any Indonesian dish.
If you're looking to dine in, they have no AC in a 100 degree weather. They be serving no Indonesian food in Indonesian discomfort standards

We really enjoyed this place. We are in town for business and found the place accidentally, looking for a Chineese place near us.
We never had Indonesian before, so we decided to go.
We spent under $20 / dish and the food was very well cooked. The beef was slow braised in coconut and it was incredibly tasty.
If you are into trying new cuisines or just want an affordable well cooked plate, this is a great option.

Went on Valentine's and the atmosphere was great! Nothing romantic, but there was plenty of people but the ambience wasn't rowdy. Date got the Rendang, which is an absolute must order. I got the Nasi Goreng Rendang, which was entirely not spicy...? We also got the Es Campur, a heaping beast of a sweet drink- fun to drink and incredibly tasty.
Me and my friend visited here for lunch and it was amazing!! Get the chicken plate with rice that chicken fell off the bone and it was fried to perfection. When I come back to Dallas I’m definitely hitting up this spot again!
Ok, I'm a fried rice HATER. But oh my goodness, you must try NASI GORENG! (Forgot to take pics.) It's so good — we should call it the best fried rice dish in the world. Literally eye-opening. I went back the next day to try Rendang, and the beef just melted in my mouth. Soooo good😭. I think I also ordered Nasi Padang..? Anyway, it comes with soup, but they ran out of the usual and gave us some random soup... that soup was not my cup of tea, but wow, the fried chicken was amazing. Give this place a try—you will not regret it!
The beef rendang is so flavorful and delicious. The staff is so kind and don't hesitate to ask for recommendations

The Koi Way, now rebranded as Bali Cafe, offers a delightful dining experience. I tried the Bakmi Jowo, Nasi Goreng, and Nasi Rendang—each dish was flavorful and authentic. The Bakmi Jowo stood out with its delicious taste, while the Nasi Rendang was perfectly tender and rich in flavor. The exterior signage and name may have changed, but the quality inside remains top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone craving genuine Indonesian cuisine!

Super happy to finally have an Indonesian restaurant in DFW.
The owners/staff are super friendly and helpful for those new to the cuisine.
I had the ayam goreng kalasan (Kalasan style fried chicken), it is one of my favorite dishes from the region my family is from and it was great, just like I used to have in Indonesia.
The chicken is cooked in spices and coconut water first then fried and topped with crispy batter. The chicken was perfectly cooked. The sambal terasi (chilis and roasted fermented shrimp paste) they served it with on the side was phenomenal.
I will definitely be back to have the fried chicken again and to try their other offerings.

My goodness. This place was an unexpected but very pleasant surprise when looking for a dinner for our family. Food was delicious, service was friendly and genuine, and the vibe of the place was low key but well done. We’ll be back when we’re in town, for sure.

I think the place changed their name to Bali Street Cafe. The food here is really good and authentic Indonesian cuisine. I ordered the Rendang (Beef) and it is amazing. Since leaving Asia, I have not tasted such great Indonesian cuisine.
