Heard this AMAZING band there - GenXiles! Seriously, the crew here is awesome and the place has a great neighborhood vibe. You'll love the vibe!

Ordered the French onion soup and fish & chips for entree. For drink had the vanilla porter. Porter was OK but a tad too sweet for my liking. French onion soup was tasty. Worst fish & chips I've had in a long time! You would think this pub style place would have good fish & chips but it was absolutely horrible. Tiny mushy little pieces of fish about the same size of a small chicken finger. The fries were horrible as well. It all tasted frozen and low quality. 2nd beer ordered the lakewood lager and instead got and IPA style beer. I dislike IPS's. No big deal, server brought me a replacement. All in all, service was good, food was definitely not. Maybe other menu items are better. Bathroom was also not good and dirty. This was my 3rd time coming here and I just can't recommend it.

Literally the only ones here watching the game on a Saturday. Had 2 rounds of drinks, appetizers and lunch. We were watching the game and chilling. Guess the bartender decided it was too long since we ordered so he turned off all the TVs with the game we were watching. Now I understand why it was empty. Fish in the fish and chips were raw to the point of being chewy. I don't send food back, more of an eat it and see if it's ok kind of guy.

So this is what they call pizza. The crust was completely burnt, the chicken was so dry like it stayed in the fridge for a week, and on top of this “masterpiece” they poured a ton of sauce.

I don’t even know how to describe it another way, but pizza is clearly not their dish. 😅🍕

I haven’t eaten there but this is a go to for good music and a friendly crowd. They stay open late, we like the ambience and may want to get there a little early for the table top areas to sit.

This is an ideal English Pub. Great food and extensive beer selection. Velvet Hammer on draft baby! What more could you ask for? Live music, karaoke, and trivia. Go check it out!

It's an okay bar. Food is pretty mid. Their beer on tap is often flat unless you're getting something basic like a domestic. The bar and wait staff is almost always friendly and on point, but management is so wack that there's constant turnover. Owners will cause a scene over the smallest thing. Quite the bummer considering there aren't many other options for bars in the area aside from this and Lucy's (same owners). If you're looking for a beer or cocktail in the Watters Creek area, I'd recommend village burger bar or bread winners, respectively.

The owner Sandra is a total waste of space, she's very rude and not welcoming, literally kicked us out for no reason at all and threatened to call the cops on us. The server Brice was AWESOME one of the best servers I've had. Update she called security

The drinks were awful. They used too much sweet and sour mix in their drinks. It made them taste gross. So my friend ordered a tropical breeze and it was all blue Curacao. This place used to be good now it's not. It's sad because we loved coming here for girls night every few months. Now we won't be back.

Fluff Fluff

I don't normally write reviews.
But honestly I was very disappointed going here.

My Husband and I saw a local authentic English pub near us and were very excited to try it, as I am someone who grew up in the UK and my husband spent 10 years living there so seeing this place we definitely wanted to try it

When we first came in we had a lot of hope, got a table instantly and the server came to us straight away. There was a band playing inside and we really liked the atmosphere and the amazing location of the Pub.
But that's honestly where it ends.

We ordered a lemonade, a Stella, the sampler, the buffalo chicken and the fish and chips. When ordering the server seemed frazzled, when my husband asked for a stella he asked if it was draft only or if it came in bottles too, she seemed confused so my husband just asked for it on draft and in a pint glass only for her to then explain to him what a draft was? which was a strange response. When ordering the Buffalo chicken, on the menu it only said it came in a sandwich, but because i didn't want that much bread we asked if we could have it in a wrap instead, the server started asking us if we wanted in paper or lettuce? I thought its common knowledge that when someone asks for something in a wrap they want it in a tortilla? any other restaurant does this? The server then said that she will see if they can do that but there might be an upcharge and she will come back to tell us if that's the case, the server then asked what kind of fries we wanted with our fish and chips and buffalo chicken wrap, we asked the server what fries they offered and ended up getting getting curly fries and waffle fries.

We got our food before we got our silverware, and our food took a while to get when the pub was relatively empty. The buffalo chicken wrap was really good, but the fish and chips were vile, the batter was soggy and tasted like crunchy oil, and the fish itself was so rubbery it was practically inedible.

At this point we were pretty dissatisfied but thought this is just a fluke and were considering coming again in the future because the atmosphere and location was nice.

Until the bill came...
As expected there was an upcharge for the tortilla, okay I was expecting that but she never came back to tell me, but both the buffalo chicken and the fish and chips were more expensive than they were on the menu, when i asked the server why, she stated its because we got different fries, now on the menu it says that both dishes come with the signature fries but nowhere does it say on the menu that if you get different fries its an upcharge. There is one section on the menus under the burgers that says if you ask for cheese, bacon and chili, its an upcharge but nothing about changing fries, and at no point did the server ever tell us that there was an upcharge. She started insisting that is it on the menu when it isn't and then pointed to the burger section where is says all burgers coming with signature fries and the the upcharge for it you want cheese, bacon and chili. Again that has nothing to do with subbing fries and has nothing to do with the fish and chips that were in a different section which didn't mention any upcharges what so ever. Pretty sure legally they have to state things like that on the menu.

We were so sick of being there at that point we just wanted to go home so we just paid and left to be done with it.

Honestly should have read some of the more recent reviews before coming here

Definitely wont be coming again, as I don't want any hidden upcharges that were never stated beforehand, that prime location is wasted on this place.

Only 4 stars because the ale wasn't as good as I've had in other places in DFW.

The steak and ale pie was incredibly good.
