This was always a go to restraunt in Aransas since the for mayor bought it it has gone to birds the cooks screw up every order because they go across street getting there case of beer to drink while cooking,service has gone to crap ,and this is by far one of the dirtiest restraints in south Texas area only reason not shut down is because of him being former mayor or until recess mayor he controlled the inspector this place needs to be shut down

Waited 10 minutes for someone to take our order while 4 people stood behind the counter. I had to ask for someone to take our order. We ordered one of the specials and were told we could not have something different with the main entree

At the entrance, the sign said âSeat Yourself,â so we did. A waitress came by and we explained that we had ordered to go but wanted to dine in. She gave us a look and said âokay,â but as she walked away, she told another lady she wouldnât serve us because she âwouldnât get a tip.â
That honestly disappointed me. If she had just served us, she wouldâve gotten a tipâbecause I always tip well when treated right. No one brought us our food; instead, the lady at the counter told us they donât allow that because the waitresses donât like it.
We had chosen to stay and eat there to support a local business, but the way it was handled left a bad taste. I told the lady at the counter that if the issue was about not getting a tip, that was the wrong mindsetâbecause treating people right always comes back to you.
Moral of the story: treat people with kindness and respect, and youâll always get what you deserve in return

Restaurantji Recommends
Noted as one of texas's best cafés. They have specials (lunch) pretty much every day. Most notably is Thursday. That's turkey and dressing day. Lunch specials come with a cup of soup and a dessert. Soups change every day also. Wednesday soup is taco soup. Hands down my favorite. Thursday is cream of chicken. The chicken fried steak is outstanding. Lots of pies to choose from also. Overall an outstanding place to eat.

Disappointed Experience at the Bakery Café in Aransas Pass
Today my wife and I decided to grab lunch at the Bakery CafĂ© in Aransas Pass. She was in a bit of a time crunch, so we called in our order to go. When we arrived, we noticed the place wasnât too busyâmaybe 10 to 12 peopleâso we decided to sit down and eat there instead.
