I also feel in love with the kids they show the same warmeth of there parents and grand parents. This is my place to go for delicious soul food and will tell any one that don't live in the area take a drive and stop here to eat or take out.It is a gift for my family and I.

NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN. I HAD THE TURKEY WING PLATE AND WIFE HAD THE OX TAILS EVERYTHING WAS WAY TO SALTY AND OVER PEPPERED VEGGIES WAY OVER COOKED. IF I COULD GIVE HALF A STAR I WOULD. THEY HAVE GOOD PRICES THOUGH.

I tried this place today because it wasn't far from me and it popped up when I Google soul food (I didn't feel like cooking). There wasn't a menu online so I read the other reviews to get a feel for what they served. There wasn't a menu posted in the establishment either, but the lady behind the counter let me know what food was available. I ordered the oxtail plate(came w/ cornbread dressing, cabbage, and sweet potatoes) ($20) for my mom, and the smothered porkchop (came w/ white rice, cabbage, and sweet potatoes) ($15) plate for myself. (Oh, it came with a piece a cornbread too) The portions were a very nice size and the food was very good (well seasoned). It came with 3 sides and I don't even think I ate half the food. I also got the peach cobbler: IT WAS SOOOOOOO GOOD! Not watery, the right amount of crust, and not overly sweet. I'll definitely go back, I'll just make sure I call and see what's on the menu for the day first.

The pork chops we ordered were seasoned amazingly, the cabbage and mac and cheese were delicious, and the smell was just perfect. I definitely recommend!!

Great food! It's small And family run so don't expect five diamond service but the food is delicious. Service isn't bad at all but I don't like to see people giving bad rating for service and never have anything bad to say about the food. Good soul food cooked with love. Very close to my mamas!!

I visited Kinfolks cafe on Sunday 12.28.20. and ordered turkey wings, okra and tomatoes, dressing and Mac and cheese. 1st thing the employees were not welcoming; 2nd when she gave me my food she pushed it towards me on the counter and it fell on the floor. She apologized and took it to the back to get me another order (well I thought that’s what she did). Once I looked in the bag, all of the gravy from the turkey wings was mixed in with the rest of my food. To say the least, the food was horrible. I will never return. First impression is the last impression.
