Hands down the best African dining experience I’ve ever had!
From the moment we walked in, the warmth hit us like a Lagos breeze. The lady that received us was so kind and helped us with our order, explaining every dish. The owner (I’m assuming the legendary Chef Temii herself) greeted us with the biggest smile and treated us like family returning home after years away. That level of genuine hospitality is rare these days.
Now, the food… oh my goodness. Where do I even start?
• The jollof rice is straight-up sorcery: smoky, perfectly spiced, with that irresistible bottom crust (pot of gold). I could eat buckets of it.
• Egusi soup with pounded yam? Life-changing. Rich, nutty, packed with flavor, and the pounded yam was silky-smooth, like it was made by angels.
• We also tried the puff-puff for dessert and they came out piping hot, fluffy inside, crisp outside, dusted with just the right amount of sugar. I almost ordered a second plate to take home.
Portions are incredibly generous, everything tastes fresh and homemade, and you can feel the love in every bite.
If you’ve never had West African food before, this is the place to start. If you grew up on it, this will transport you straight back to Mama’s kitchen (maybe even better). Chef Temii is a treasure, the staff are absolute sweethearts, and the vibes are immaculate.
I’m already planning my next visit… and the one after that. Run, don’t walk!
10/10 – Chef Temii has my heart (and my stomach) forever. ❤️🇳🇬

Chef Temii was professional since day 1. I contacted her about 2 months before my wedding with all the details and by the time of the event she even contacted servers for me. The servers were very respectful and helpful. I heard nothing but great things about the food. I ordered two pans of fish and it was gone before me or hubby could try it…the chicken and rices were delicious. The price was unbeatable for a part of 100. Thank you again.

I was craving Nigerian food, but did not feel like cooking. We hesitantly checked this place out because I've generally been disappointed by Nigerian restaurants in the DFW.
However, Chef Temi changed the narrative.
The restaurant was clean. We were greeted warmly and welcomed in. The food was fresh; I had efo riro and pounded yam. My husband had jollof rice and chicken. He said it is the best Nigerian food he's had that I did not have to cook, and I agree with him!

The jollof was smoky and spicy yet flavorful. The chicken was tender. The efo riro was very fresh, I could taste the greens and the stew. It was slightly on the spicy side but still very enjoyable.

I'm glad I've found a place I can go to when I want to eat Nigerian food cooked by someone else!

Great restaurant! From the moment we stepped into this restaurant, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel instantly at home.

Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely phenomenal! I tried the jollof rice with chicken and it was bursting with flavor. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the meat was tender with just the right amount of heat. The egusi soup with pounded yam was another standout—comforting, hearty, and deeply satisfying. Everything was delicious.

Every dish tasted like it was made with love and tradition, just like a home-cooked meal. As a Jamaican I appreciate the complex flavors and the spice! I will definitely be coming back.

Chef Temmi’s brings the heart of Nigeria straight to the table like no other. The food is rich with authentic Nigerian flavors that tell a story of heritage, tradition, and love. Every bite feels like a celebration of her roots.

What makes the experience even more special is the family behind it. Chef Temmi and her loved ones pour their hearts into every dish, and you can feel the warmth of family and community the moment you walk in. It’s not just a restaurant — it’s a gathering place where culture, food, and love come together.

If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Nigeria wrapped in true hospitality, Chef Temmi’s is a must. This family and their food are a true gift to the community.
