I ordered a brisket plate on door dash for about $20. I ordered brisket, baked beans, and potato salad, pretty much standard meal for any standard bbq spot. So I opened up the container and the brisket was visibly dry, and it had sprinkled seasoning on just (2) slices of the brisket. I saw a smoke ring but I didn’t taste any smoke. My issue is when I picked up the brisket it was sliced paper thin. The portion of brisket had to be less than an ounce of meat. Tried the brisket with the bbq sauce and the sauce was uninspiring. Brisket was 4.5 out of 10 for me. Next was the baked beans, very disappointed as they look and tasted like Bush’s Baked Beans out of the can. Baked beans are a 2 out of 10 for me. Then I moved on to the potato salad, initially the potato salad looked store bought, tasted store bought, but included some ingredients to make it seem like it was homemade. Potato salad was a 5.5 out of 10 for me. Lastly, the absolute best part of this plate was the most amazingly buttered slices of bread I’ve ever tasted, Crowns was not stingy in the butter or seasonings. However….. the pictures on DoorDash showed Texas Toast, yet I received slices of sandwich bread which was very disappointing. The toast for me would’ve been a 10, but because of the false advertising the toast gets a 6.5 for me. Overall, I would not get anything else from Crowns BBQ in the future due to IMO brisket is the staple of the BBQ game and if this is questionable I can’t trust anything else, regardless of the specialty. If you are in the Southeast Arlington area and would like to try some BBQ, please try Crowns BBQ Phase 1. Have a great day, Jay the food tester
Nothing was seasoned brisket just tasted like meat and the ribs were fatty and tasteless. Mac and cheese was different and the beans were OK. 47 dollars wasn't the price for the taste. Got to do a lot better for me to come back.

We visited today and thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had the ribs, potato salad, Mac and cheese, and the fried okra. We look forward to going back to out to try more things. The menu was packed with so much. The staff was great as well.

A small piece of Texas history as Crowns BBQ original is continued here at Crowns Phase 1. Food is amazing and the environment is warm and welcoming. Try the loaded bake potato and the kool aid, you won’t regret it!

Speaking with the owner, this is a continuation of a Multi-generation business. Quaint little restaurant with personalized service. The smoked meats are delicious with a variety of sauces. The sides are tantalizing from the spicy mac and cheese to the tangy coleslaw.

BBQ is as good as the old Crowns, that is now gone. Nice bark and smoke ring on brisket. Smoke flavor is good but not overpowering. Nice pull on the slices. Sauce is spot on. Sides were tasty. We will be back to try the other meats and sides.

I’ve been here twice. I had the loaded nachos with brisket the first time and the loaded baked potato with brisket the second. Food was delicious both times and comes out fast. Staff is very friendly too. Definitely recommend this spot.
