One of our favorite places. Great Queso, tacos and fajitas, Plus they will absolutely do whatever you ask to make the food exactly the way you want it.

Out of - Food, Service and Atmosphere Don Mario's does the one most important thing (FOOD) right !! In other words the guy in the kitchen is really the only one experienced and dedicated to see to it that at least the food experience is good there. For really good service and a waiter to make money the restaurant atmosphere needs to be "on" so enough patrons will come in order, linger, socialize, spend money and tip !! This is not what is happening at Don Mario's. People come in endure the hokey Tex-Mex music they play, eat and pay their check having had enough. That's no way for a waiter to pay for school, an apartment, a car and have a date every now and then. The owner of the restaurant, the man making the decisions, needs to ensure he understands his clientele (basically all well to do Anglo's) and offer the atmosphere that rich Anglo's enjoy - Top Quality Music through the stereo system that plays the best of the classic music genres of throughout 60's, 70's and 80's. And now Tex-Mex Restaurants have TV's playing. If a local Anglo comes in for lunch or diner and see's Mexican soccer and Mexican news on TV he quickly realizes those TV's are not on for him they're on for the employees who by the way make more money by ensuring a patrons glass is full instead of checking the score on the game. Don Mario's food is as such that they never should have needed to move from the Al's Hamburgers space to something smaller. When open, if the atmosphere is congruent to its patrons it should be "Standing Room Only !!"

We really like Don Mario's. They've become our go to for full service Mexican food. Excellent fajitas, large portions too. The combo plates are really good and there are 5 separate sauce options. Love the tortilla soup too. Salsa is first rate. From the owner on down, everyone here is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very clean as well.

Super chill local Mexican joint. The staff is fun, friendly, and they hustle! Food is persistent, good, and what you’d expect. Margs are strong and priced competitively.

I wish I had taken pictures. I had very low expectations because the customers look unseasoned and I am a beautifully seasoned. The service was great, I also wish to had gotten our servers name. My plate (Don Mario’s Enchiladas special) was delicious. I am picky when it comes to Mexican or TexMex because of the lack of flavor. The salsa had a very mild kick with great taste, food came out hot, and our drinks were tasty and strong, just like me.

Eh? The ambiance in this place is not great- fluorescent overhead lights- it literally looks like a retail Store that someone is cooking in. The food is ok- I ordered fajitas. the menu said $18 for chicken fajitas , they were decent but it was a pretty small portion- looked like a lunch size. Then when the check came they tried charging me $22. They did fix it- but that’s an insane amount of money for mediocre fajitas in a strip mall, I would have been better off going to papasitos for that price.

I had the Fiesta Salad. Black beans, pico de gallo, and ranch sound like an odd trio but when joined with the rest of the salad, it was delectable. The lettuce was crisp and leafy with no thick pieces or hearts. All this combined with the hot grilled chicken made for an enjoyable meal. They normally serve this with “avocado ranch” but avocados and I find each other offensive. So, I had plain ranch. I’ll be having this again next time I’m there!

That's really bad service and bad Manager aptitude, my food comes out cold and wrong , I ask my service to change my order for what I ask for when I place my order and she told that's what you order .. She really mad at me because she want me to eat the order she place not what I want , I talk with the manager and he had a lot bad attitude too Finally they change my order but try to charge me for the meal I don't have to order.. The food is great and delicious but they really need a new stuff to make the place better

This is a great little Mexican restaurant in Fielder Plaza. I highly recommend the brisket tacos. They have wonderful hot sauce and good refried beans which are both a must in my book. The spinach and mushroom quesadilla is excellent as well. The staff is super friendly.

Server was perfect. Didn't bother me too much, but was attentive and let me enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace. She recommended the flan instead of the cobbler; it was great and didn't need the whipped cream. Camaron Diablo was good; not the best I've had, but tasty. I recommend the El Jefe margarita.

We decided to give this restaurant a try after the Rangers game. A quick browse through the yelp reviews and pictures and we were on our way to give this place a shot! We ordered queso (which was Bomb.com), chicken quesadilla, and a chicken Chile relleno covered with queso. Our food was delicious! The servers and staff were very friendly and quick! We were seated, ordered, and our food delivered maybe within 10 min. Will definitely be coming back the next time we are in the area.

Chile. The food was trash. The strawberry margarita was trash. Our server's attitude was trash. The food was overpriced for the quality we received. Wine be back.

The food is great. The service is pretty good. Nice staff. Im sad that the tip I put for the server on my debit card was increased by a dollar from what I wrote down when we went today. And when are they gonna update their phone number on here? Geez, I'd have orders take out from them so much more if I had the right phone number!

Needed some Tex-Mex and decided to try this place out. it sits right next to the Tom thumb grocery store, so it's not difficult to find. Plenty of parking in the parking lot. We went there on a Thursday night, about an hour before they closed. So the staff was kind of like and focused on cleaning and closing for the evening but that did not deter them from still giving us a great meal. Start off with a couple of dos Equis, and some guacamole with our chips. We decided to go with burritos. I had the chicken and my gal got the beef brisket burrito. The sauces well you could choose your own, I chose the ranchero and she chose the queso. The portions were great size and there was plenty of meat inside the burritos. They were savory and actually filling. I liked it so much. I hate the whole plate. There's plenty of seating on a weeknight, plenty of parking, and they close at 9:00 p.m. p.m. so if you're looking for a pseudo late dinner, that's a great place to go. Will I be back, yes I will
