Ordered ahead on the app 10 mins prior to arriving. Then, I waited another 5 minutes in the drive-thru with only 3 cars in front, just to reverse and go up to the window that took the girl another couple minutes to acknowledge me. When I told her I had a mobile order, she started making it then. Why was my one small coffee not already made after 20 minutes? I could understand if they were slammed, but the whole time I was waiting, there were only 3 customers. So much for mobile app convenience.

I started ordering ahead on the app and arrived 7 minutes early (saw there was a line and new by the time it got to me it would be my pick up time) when the employee came up to my car and I told her I ordered ahead she said they “aren’t supposed to start making my drink until my pick up time” and to not come early. Even though I’d took into consideration that there was 4 cars in front of me and that it would take awhile for me to get mine and would be the pick up time by the time it was my turn. This doesn’t make any sense. Why would I get there at my pick up time just to wait even longer to get my coffee? This just seemed a little ridiculous and felt like she was bothered that I’d ordered ahead.

What is the purpose of ordering ahead if Dutch Bros™ is not going to start my drink order until after I arrive?
The coffee is always delicious. The Customer Service is always delightful. But Having an order ahead option and not prepping the drink ahead of my arrival does not make sense to me.

Drinks are never consistent! Some of the employees are rude. I walked up to the window and i sat there with no one in line for iver 15 mins while they are all laughing and having conversations with one another. This is why I actually go the the one closer to my house but this one is next to the freeway and gas station I go to. It sucks because I love Dutch its just the employees!
I originally was really unimpressed by Dutch bros when the location (in Pantego) first opened but when I seen you get a free drink when you sign up I came back and loved everything! The employees are really kind and amazing at all locations I’ve been to and the drinks are worth it. Thank you :)
