Traditional Mexican that never disappoints, I get an item no longer on the menu but still in the system. I grade them the best margaritas and salsa in DFW. I’ve been going to ElFenix for 50+ years and happy there are still a few around, although sorry to see some closed in the last several years.

I haven't been to an El Fenix restaurant in probably forty years and when I spotted this one, memories of my youth filled me with nostalgia and I had to relive the past. After getting past the memories, I realized why I haven't been in so many years. It is a memory that can just remain in the past as there are much better options going forward. I'm not saying there was anything bad about the food, service, or prices, I'm just saying there wasn't anything great about them either. For run of the mill, fill your belly Tex-Mex, it's okay. Fond memories aren't always great realities.

Please add a little bag of chips per meal! Sometimes it’s for different people at work and we all want them in separate bags,
I'm on the wrong side of UPSET my sister picked up our lunch at ElFenix today and I called the order in and explained to them that we needed it sacked separately we work in 3 DIFFERENT Departments and eat lunch at DIFFERENT Times I explained that to the young lady it was sacked separately Kenneth Bubba Evans and myself got Caso which should come with chips and we didn't get ANY my sister said the last time she picked it up the guy was RUDE said that they don't give CHIPS out for each order well why do you put Salsa in each order? STICK A FORK IN US WE'RE DONE Get food at this ElFenix At your own RISK ElFenix enjoy the LAST $52 that you got out of us

Brought a group of girls and their parents here after a week of Junior Olympic swimming competition to celebrate the end of the event and give them a little flavor and feel for Tex-Mex and the history of El Fenix. A great experience and the waitress was magical in dealing with separate checks for 15 different mother/daughter/father, parent combos. Thank you for the great Texas hospitality 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮
