I've been eating at this place off and on for over ten years, not so much lately as we're no longer in N. Arlington. It's been my impression that though the restaurant has a strong following I find it overrated. Wife and I ate there the other night and were highly disappointed. Portions of my Brisket Tacos were grisly and the waiter delivered fish tacos to my wife instead of shrimp- as I clearly ordered. What had already been a long wait (we were in bar area) turned...

The food was good but the prices were high. $19 for a chimichanga that was the size of a Taco Bell burrito is expensive. You can go to El Fenix and get it a couple of bucks cheaper. And it is a bit bigger also.

This place is pretty close to us, so every six months or so we give it another try. The restaurant is absolutely huge, and they only seem to be using about 30% of their space. That gives it a bit of a Caverness empty and dark feeling. We chose the patio. Nothing went wrong and the food was fine.. there is just never anything close to exceptional about it. I’m sure we will be back and I’m sure it will be fine again.
