This is my second review, and since I can’t post another one from the same account and both are negative so I’m writing from my other email. I’m honestly very frustrated. Why give customers the option to leave a note if no one takes the time to read it? I specifically stated that I did not want octopus on my ceviche — and yet my order had octopus, the total opposite of what my note said. I really wish I was able to attach my pictures of both my receipt with my note and my ceviche with octopus that I clearly stated I didn’t want but it’s not giving me that option!!!!
I wasted my money, time, and gas driving from Mansfield to pick up what used to be my favorite ceviche spot. This is really disappointing, especially after being a loyal customer. I truly hope the staff starts paying attention to customer notes so others don’t have the same experience.

I absolutely love El Viejon Restaurant in Arlington and have been a loyal customer for a long time. I order their Ceviche El Viejon at least 4 times a week—that’s almost $400 a month just for the ceviche alone (not even counting the nachos or tacos I pick up for my kids). It’s worth every penny because it’s delicious and fits perfectly into my macros.
However, the last 4 pick-up orders have been wrong, and it’s incredibly upsetting. Today, I even wrote my notes in ALL CAPS and asked at the counter if my order was correct. I was reassured it was—yet when I checked in my truck before leaving, the order was still wrong.
On Friday, I almost left a review because the portion size was unusually small. I was so disappointed I just gave my ceviche to my daughter.
If you’re like me—someone who looks forward to their favorite meal after a long day—you can understand how frustrating this is. I love this place too much to stop coming, but please, slow down with the online orders and carefully read the notes. When I order pick-up, it’s for the convenience of getting in and out. I don’t want to have to come back or feel like I’m being a “Karen.”
Please don’t lose loyal customers like me—your food is amazing, but the order accuracy really needs attention!

Just had their grilled octopus and it was the best I’ve had served on a sizzling platter with red onions. Wife had their stuffed avocado and also loved it. We will be back.

I went friday, I order the shrimp cocktail, is missing some flavor, the server got lost couple of times, ( don't remember his name) also 5 dollars for michelada mix? That is only 1/5 of the glass, it should be like 2 dollars.

This place is has great fresh Sinaloa style seafood some of the best in the area. I've been here 3 times in the last month or so and the food is consistent. Service could improve a little but the establishment is super clean. The establishment has great very Sinaloa like vives with all its sea and fish decor. The regular michelada mix was ok so was the margaritas. But again the food hands down good.
My god I ordered the ceviche tostada and the green salsa is to die for it was fresh and delicious 🤤

I definitely recommend going on the weekends—the seafood tastes much fresher then, and everything just feels more lively. If you go, you’ve got to try the micheladas with Pacifico—they’re on point and pair perfectly with the food.
Great spot overall, and I’ll keep coming back!

Food was excellent. My favorite was the red aguachile. Everything was delicious. They have live mariachi music. We sat on the patio, great atmosphere but service wasn’t great. They were not that busy. Not sure if it was because we were sitting outside but we had to look for our waitress several times. Highly recommend this place
