Tonight was my first time trying this Jamaican Restaurant. The food was good. They gave you a lot, but be prepared for some spice. If you know, you know. I tried the Kingston Trio plus the Rum Punch.
Food was good but they didn't have rice and peas and teyput the meat on the two sides section instead of big open side; and the to go order box is the smallest I've seen! 😂 😂 the young waitress was kind though. Not too friendly atmosphere. Overall l give a 5-6 out of ten.
Great service and good food!
Bigger portions of meat. Not just rice is plentiful
The Oxtails oh my, a must try!!
The food was TERRIBLE. WAS cold, and tasted OLD
I was charged for an entree when I clearly ordered the lunch special(I pointed directly to what I wanted and verbally express it twice)
Plus there’s no way anyone could confuse my plate(which was very small) to a full blown entree!🤦🏽♂️
The Best!
As a restaurant owner myself, I take my hats off to the owner and staff at this restaurant for offering top notch service to its guests. I forgot to take a couple pictures before the food was all gone. Me and the family went to this restaurant for lunch. I gave up searching in Texas for some good authentic Jamaican food because everywhere I tried they disappointed me. However, I must recommend Jamaica Gate for some good Jamaican food. I have the Kingston Trio, which comes with any three meats. Mine were the oxtails, jerk chicken and curry goat. They were all delicious with the right temperature and most importantly flavorful. I also had the opportunity to get a tour of kitchen and it was immaculately clean and organized. I will definitely be going back.
Very noisy. Hard to have a conversation.

It was a decent experience. But the food didn’t meet my expectations.
Great food and atmosphere!
Good food. Good atmosphere. It takes a while for the food to come when ordered but never disappointed when it arrives.
Your food is good but charging so much extra for Mac and cheese when that should be an included side is crazy. Every Jamaican restaurant I’ve been to even ones in other states such as Florida does not charge extra for Mac and cheese. It’s an optional side typically for your plate.
Your plates are already about 20+ it’s quite greedy.
I love this place now, this only my second visit in two weeks. I did oxtails last week, brown stew chicken I’m sure I won’t be disappointed
