I loved the concept of the store and as a citizen of Barbados living in Arlington, I was excited to see a business that offered Caribbean food. I paid $17 for a medium-sized order of brown stewed chicken with 2 sides of jasmine rice and cabbage. Unfortunately, the only item that came close to the mark was the rice it was fluffy. The chicken and the cabbage were just seasoned mainly with pepper. I tasted some other spices that tried to prevail but that was hard as the chicken was boiled and that was clear from the consistency and depth of flavor in the sauce. To stew is a slow cooking technique that includes the addition of liquids at a slow rate. So disappointed! Customer service was a 5/5.

Such a great concept! The Chef changes monthly. A great opportunity to get their up and coming food out and you can be one of the first to try it. Of course, then you're going to want to follow up on your favorite chefs to see where they wind up in their permanent location. In the meantime, try to hit them up at least once a month and see what they have going on. March is Caribbean. Great food.

The rice in the rice and peas wasn't cooked and the food was swimming in cooking oil. That's not real jerk chicken. Please stoping making Jamaican food look bad.

I went 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday night. That's the only reason I gave it a three for the atmosphere. It's a small ,quaint place but very friendly service.the food was outstanding. I got the three sliders, fries, drink and and that famous cake.

I walked in to the restaurant not knowing what it really was. I didn't see a menu and said hello to the woman at the counter who was on her phone. She looked up at me said hello and went back to playing on her phone. I looked around for a menu, then left. I won't be back.

This new restaurant has been through sort of a rebrand I would say... It was a catfish place, which I think was sort of a franchise, although I had not experienced it previously. Now it's a new concept which I'm not sure it totally appeals to my unwillingness to try new things, well I would say it's not really unwillingness it's just that I am a creature of habit. If I like something I will return and if I have to keep starting over that causes me a little bit of having to come out of my shell to do something differently than I would normally do. So this restaurant now is going to feature a chef for a month, and then, after that, it will have a new chef. Since they've only had one so far, it appears to me that a lot of these are chefs that may cater or they've had a dream of being a chef and they do private meals for people, but they're just not out there enough to have their own place. So Kitchen combine is stepping up and offering them the opportunity to have their own place for a month. I think the chefs come up with what menu they want to serve and this restaurant ownership helps them put it out there so that people know about them and their business. I went on a Sunday and the options were more limited than during the week so I ended up just picking up a cake bowl by Cake daddy. I looked Cake daddy up and apparently there's a restaurant in Dallas where Cake Daddy is open a couple days a week, but it looks like he has been on several shows, and he sells these cakes to the public only on two days of the week. This cake bowl was amazing. I got the red velvet because again I'm a sucker for red velvet. It was moist. The icing was right and it was just delicious. I ate on that bowl because it's so large for about a week. I had to go to Michigan for work and I thought that the bowl Would have to be thrown away if I didn't take it with me so I took it with me so I didn't miss a beat. It looks like Kitchen Combine is one of the restaurants of which this cake is served. Now this is not part of their overall schematic of having a monthly chef, but they do distribute these cakes and, if not for anything, I will be back to pick up another cake bowl. Will definitely take a look at each chef and figure out if there is something that drives me to come in and try a new menu. For you adventure seekers, food adventure seekers, I say go to Kitchen combine and check out the various chef's food menus. With this sort of new concept, you are always sure to get something different and never be bored with the same old standard meal. The staff seems very knowledgeable about the meals that they're offering and all were very nice. They have lots of tables if you want to eat your food there. They can also package it for you to take it home. I say try Kitchen Combine as it seems like the next thing in restaurant concepts!

I hate giving small businesses bad reviews, but I also hate wasting money on food that is so bad that it's inedible especially paying $15-$20+ per plate. The hot chicken sandwiches were DELICIOUS, but for $15, at least you shouldn't be stingy with fries. The catfish was so horribly seasoned that my husband wouldn't even eat it. The lemonade and sweet tea were so sugary, that I feel like it gave me diabetes...my husband couldn't even drink the sweet tea and didn't recognize the flavor as even being sweet tea. I really hate giving this review considering they take pride in cleanliness and are incredibly friendly and polite. Obviously this is just my review based on my taste buds, but I had to share considering the circumstances.

The two young people that were taking orders were very knowledgeable of the menu. I love the concept of a featured chef and menu every month. I ordered the jerk chicken nachos. Although tasty, I did not taste any jerk flavor on the chicken. This the only reason o didn’t give it 5 stars. I will definitely go back.
