Always enjoy Mac's. Even though it is a bit loud. Service is always terrific and have never had a bad meal.
We met our son's future in-laws for dinner. The server was spot on, and the food and drinks were delicious. And the night before we met the family for my in-laws 61st wedding anniversary. Mac's is a local favorite.
Saturday lunch crowd and scene is a little more ‘mature'. Evenings are when reservations are more of a must as it is busier and more of an ‘evening/sophisticated crowd. Cocktail service can be a tad slow.
Delicious brunch, eggs Benedict's cooked perfectly. Excellent Mimosas. Service was prompt and attentive.
MAC used the be a really good restaurant but it has gone down. One of the waiters had an attitude with my party for asking them to remake a steak and sent another waiter to try and bully and intimidate us
Mac's is just a Fantastic Dining Experience . The food is Great and the Staff is the Best.
Mac's always has great food, today was no exception. The salad was awesome, fried shrimp was excellent, baked potato hot & creamy. Service was very good. It is my favorite restaurant. 😊
Only complaints are that they don't have thin rim glasses for red wine and there was only one salad dressing offering.
The food was awesome and our server was excellant. A very enjoyable experience all around.

Great service! We both had the prime rib and it was good. The salad was excellent. We will go back in the next few weeks and try a few new things.
Just a date night with the wife, we were properly seated on time by the hostess and received prompt service from start to finish. Drinks and food were generous portions, and the white staff was very attentive. The redfish and grilled shrimp as entrees did not disappoint as both were served hot and full of flavor. The overall restaurant decor is a bit dated and it's loud due to the old school tile floors, but still a very nice night out. We will be back.
We came in yesterday to celebrate Father's Day, party of 4 at 5pm. We had 5pm reservations and were seated on time. We have been eating at this establishment for YEARS Decades)! MAC came by our table and said hello to my parents, as well as, my boyfriend who he also knows. The service was horrible. Let me start with I think the kitchen was backed up way before we arrived. To the hostesses, if you have a party of 4 you should put 4 sets of silverware out for each. person. Help out the waitress with providing water to your patrons vs. two young hostesses chatting sbd stsnding around. After sitting at the table for 10 minutes I asked the hostess to bring us additional silverware and water even though the waitress eventually brought us our drink order. We ordered 3 different appetizers to share, as well as, 2 soup and salad orders and a steak entree. When the appetizers came out there was no serving spoon to serve the crab claws. We had also asked for more hot bread for the crab claws. We ended up using the teaspoon to serve ourselves. By the time we got a spoon and more bread we we were finished the appetizers. The salads came to the table at a different time than the gumbo was brought out. Why? My parents had the gumbo and the seafood was lacking in the bowl of soup. Nothing we ordered came out on time or together.
I'm not sure what was going on, but when we spend $200 for dinner I expect good service, food and a nice environment.
Do better, busy or not.
Colby was our server. He did a great job and all the food was lovely. That part was 5 stars.
The hostesses and seating arrangements were dismal. Almost walked out - the evening would have been better if we had left.
Walked into an early dinner at 4.15pm - timed early because we didn't have a reservation (Saturday, June 7th). Our group of five (including one person with a severe walking disability & cane) was shown to a table of four and told this was the biggest table due to other reservations. When we left after our meal, the restaurant was still half empty. Had our table been a more appropriate size, we would have ordered more food & beverages than we did.
Suggestion to the management:
Figure out how to offer more tables that accommodate 5 & 6 people. There were a number of 2-person parties at 4-tops (which is what my husband and I had previously). You can have an entire section of 6-tops and 2-tops. And re-train the hostess staff on how to ensure every customer starts with a positive experience.
Right now, you are losing business. We live locally. Not only did we spend less this visit than we intended, but we would think twice before going to your restaurant in the future.
We celebrated Father's Day by visiting, and I made a reservation, but I didn't notice that they were only offering the brunch menu for lunch. It caught us a bit off guard, but in the end, it turned out to be a nice surprise! It would be great if this information could be shared on social media or OpenTable, so that everyone knows what to expect. Overall, we had a lovely time!
